How about a radio with a station that plays the commentary from the Solaris matches of MW4? Who wouldn't want to root for the underdog mech pilot while light years away fighting in the war? The other stations have to give updates on the war from other worlds. Mute optional of course.

Something along the lines of more interactivity. Hands that move the controls (Just a wish)

Also, random items. Coff mugs, whenever the mech overheats the rush of the coolant vest as a sound. Too much heat = steam on the inside due to the player's sweat. Whenever the actual cockpit is hit, sparks and wires falling. Some indicator that "hey don't get hit here again"

Fuzzy dice that catch fire with heat build up. Bottles of water. Definitely family pictures and or a simple kill marker of some sort.

Just found this today and haven't read all 77 pages but if there is already a suggestion for a rearview mirror (it just shows the back of the cockpit) I'm gonna add my vote to it. If not, consider this a suggestion.

Even if they are not interactive, some items that trigger certain animations while idle would be nice! For example:

• Rubik's Cube - Pilot will sometimes take it out and try to solve it (random chance) while idle.
  
• Book / Magazine - Pilot will sometimes take it out and flip through a few pages.
  
• MWO Forums - Pilot will sometimes browse through the forum threads (could be linked to the actual one!).
  
• Bottled Water - Pilot will sometimes take a drink.
  
• Bobblehead Atlas - Pilot will sometimes flick it to make it bobble.
  
• Pistol - Pilot will sometimes take it out and polish it or check the ammo.

They could code it so that you could have a certain number of idle animation items 'equipped' or just have as many as you want and the game will randomly cycle through your fluff idle animations when you find yourself sitting behind a hill while waiting for those enemy Catapults to run out of missiles.

Heh, you realize there is a reason that Mechwarriors are wrapped up in a cooling vest and the neruohelmet has cooling facilities as well. Any bobblehead you placed in that cockpit would be a puddle on the panel.
