He is a troll who watched a troll thread hit 3 pages, he considers this a success.

Right after the first nail pierced his palm as he was nailed to the cross?

I agree with the OP. Torso twisting to spread damage is a huge problem in this game. Lighter side armor would really help this out.

While we are at it, I think the base speed for all Assault mechs should be no slower than 80kph. I mean, come on...a small engine in a light mech moves it about 100+ kph, why can't the same engine in an Assault move it at least 80 ~ 90kph.

Lastly, I think Mediums and Lights are tricky to use in the current game due to their lack of armor. I think we should bump light mechs armor to 4x that of TT and Mediums 5x that of TT armor values to make them more viable.

Yep, that seem to make perfect sense to me.

LOL. Nope

Oh Oh and no nerfs ever again only buff stuff, cause there's no way that wouldn't annihilate all the fun in the game.

I understand. The bug or feature is most evident on the Centurion which can absorb insane damage into it's blown off arm socket. That arm socket can take more damage than an Atlas center torso. Doesn't PGI say that is working as intended though?

Well, to be fair it works the same way on all 'mechs; the Cent just happen to have rather big left-over (not blown off) arm debris when the arm gets blown off.

Hmm... Can it? Let's see:

AS7-D CT: 94+62=156 points.

CN9-A ST: 26+24=50 points, but hitting the arm debris only transfers 50%, so 100 points.
CN9-A CT:36+32=68 points, but hitting the arm debris only transfers 25%, so 272 points.

So yeah, to core a Cent by only shooting its arm, you need to deal 372 damage to the arm debris; more than twice what you need to go through a pristine Atlas CT. Count the arm itself (32+16) and you're looking at 420 damage, 2.5 times the Atlas CT.

On the other hand, you only need 112 damage to destroy both legs of the Cent (32+24 each leg), much less than the CT of the Atlas.

Go for the legs. Always go for the legs.

Yes, it's a feature.

Incidentally, for those of you who still haven't figured it out, the Spider has very similar arm debris as the Centurion; it's the Centurion of lights - something that plays a major part in its "unkillable" reputation.

Edit: Pristing?!? Pristine.
