Really don't see how it could help so yeah put it in game. Make it so a vid of a shirtless Russ Bullock screaming "OMFGYOU'VEBEENNARC'D plays on our useless cockpit monitors for all I care.

Powering down vs normal missiles is useless as the volley in the air is still going to hit you, so you've really accomplished nothing. Powering down vs narc-assisted missiles is the only way to prevent death unless you have COMPLETE cover available nearby.
I'm still not getting it. If you get an Inc Missile warning you should immediately move to effective cover. If you're in effective cover powering down doesn't make a difference because you're safe anyways. If you're still getting a warning but the missiles are slamming into your cover just wait for the NARC to wear off and go about your business.
**** I'd stay powered up just so they waste some ammo on me.
Getting killed by LRMs is more of a 'you lost' than a 'he won'.

Your teammates should not have to tell you information that you yourself should know.
You should also be able to see your teammates loadouts without having to ask them.
Thats common sense. Dont be ignorant.

Tweet at Russ. Add it next patch. Whatever. I don't see a point.
If you're NARC'd you're probably taking LRM fire and if you're taking LRM's you're getting a warning and if you're getting a warning you should be getting to cover and if you get to cover you'll be safe from LRMs. NBD.
Put in some red flashing arrows that point you to the closest effective cover while you're at it. Have the autopilot turn on and put you on the fastest path.

What is funny is that you suggest teamates would tell you, but you yourself don't seem to think it's even important that you know, so presumably you wouldn't tell your teammates anyway.
Regardless, it's very important, because it means they difference between needing to stay behind high cover that can block missiles, and merely needing to stay out of line of sight.
Dealing with incoming missiles requires different actions than dealing with being narced.

If I can warn them I do, but usually a "Narc?" or a "What is NARC?" is the response. If I'm in my 3L I always run to cover someone narc'd in ECM. Sometimes though other people do give a warning.
I guess I just handle LRMs differently. I stop what I'm doing, move to cover, as I move I look up for the LRMs and if necessary adjust my cover based on their direction. Soon as I'm safe I look for a spotter. If there's no spotter but I'm still getting the Warning I just assume i'm NARC'd, count to 25 or so and then keep playing.

So does a spotter behind you or a UAV but you dont' get an indicator of that..

Obviously you should see an indicator if you are narced. There is no rational argument against it.

If a spotter/uav has LoS on you, then you have LoS on him. So there is no need for an indicator. You just have to use your eyes.
But no amount of using your eyes will tell you if you have a narc attached to you or not, there simply is no in-cockpit indicator.

If somebody on your team happens to notice that you are NARC'd and they manage to tell you that then yeah it's helpful, but that pretty much never happens. There's no indicator on your own screen that you are NARC'd, you need to rely entirely on your team to tell you or just guess based on all the missiles and crap hitting you.

For one thing, if you are NARC'd then you have to find more effective cover than usual, so if you don't know that you are NARC'd and try to hide in cover that otherwise usually works and get blasted apart then that's a real crapshoot.
For another thing, it's kind of a big deal to know if your position is being broadcasted to the enemy team so you can't try any clever maneuvers since they will just spot you and destroy you, anybody with any sense is going to play differently if they know "oh crap the enemy can see where I am even behind cover."
Your autopilot comment is stupid beyond belief, having a warning that you are NARC'd is not unreasonable and your teammates can already see it anyways, the problem is you shouldn't have to rely on them to tell you that.

When I am in one of my assault mechs and I get killed by missiles after getting (most likely) narced I can only blame myself. I should have killed the mech that narced me. After all I had the chance to do that since narc is a direct fire weapon with a short range and rather low projectile speed.
What I am saying is that narc is fine as it is.

As for in-cockpit "you've been Narced!" warnings, it's a small thing to add I guess, but is it really necessary? I find that it's bloody obvious when I've been Narced as compared to when I'm just receiving incidental LRM fire:
The "incoming missiles" warning goes off; I make for cover. After the initial salvoes have landed, do I hear more missile warnings? If so, I've either been Narced or there's a spotter nearby.

ECM might wanna have a word with ya there kiddo.
ECM is supposed to be the counter to T2 tech, aka Artemis, TAG, and NARC, instead it is this group wide stealth bubble at a slim 1.5 tons!
Perhaps if ECM served its intended purpose then NARC could get a change, until then go find your closest ECM mech, or that OP boulder that's usually conveniently nearby and negate 30-50% of the weapon tonnage from anyone carrying LRMs.

Sounds great to me, next time you get NARCed just amble on over the nearest hill and see if your friends the Reds can help you out with that, k?

Half the team being LRM boats gets old real quick... with a 20 second timer on the narc.. why even bother?

It would not be useless, the enemy can still see exactly where you are and even if no LRMs are present that's quite useful. Additionally, NARC is the only system where you have no way of knowing that you're being actively spotted and all it requires is a simple hit & run from 1 enemy mech, which is not very difficult if they're playing a fast light.
It's dumb that your teammates can see that you are NARC'd but you can't see that for yourself, although the warning shouldn't happen immediately either, ideally a 3-5 second delay before you can see in your cockpit that you have a NARC on you.
