Share your post patch AWS-8Q builds, screenshots and tales of victory. I just had a match with 775 dmg and 4 kills. Now, that's nothing to you Mad Catters out there, I know. But do you know how long it's been since I got results like that in my AWS-8Q?

For those who are interested, I'm running 1 small laser, 1 PPC in the arm, ER PPC's in the torso and an STD300 engine. Advanced zoom and target info gathering. Don't really need coolshots, but I do bring them. 22 DHS.

AWS-9M pilots may post in this thread too, but be warned that you will be ridiculed for piloting an AWS-8Q with training wheels. ;)

I'm not really an awesome pilot (though I did bust my old 8V out to try the changes), but yeah, I've seen some awesome Awesome results. It's so great to see a chassis that's been god-awful since... well, for a really freaking long time, actually pulling it's weight.

It's still an 80t chassis, but at last it's not woefully crappy. And the thing is... Those dedicated Awesome pilots who've stuck with the chassis, and learned to deal with it being fragile, hot, and generally feeble? Those pilots are freaking lethal now.

It's Awesome.

Mazzyplz is a dedicated Awesome pilot but I think he doesn't have the 8Q. I'm going to run my 8Q for the next several matches and see what I get.

For the first time yesterday I saw a match with.... TWO 8Qs!!!!!1111, mine being one of them. A record. Too bad we lost.

I am going to have to like every post in this thread because it will be so nice to see a relic of a chassis have new life breathed into it.

I have the PB, 9M, and 8R that have been gathering dust for such a long time so maybe I need to get the 8Q to add to the list. It will still be a learning curve though.

Cheers!

When they make PPCs useless at range as well as up close....well have fun with the ghost heat.

Also, the Pretty Baby is still the ugly duckling of the group, in more ways than one ;).

All it needs is ability to mount a third PPC and it'll be up to par

Hey, LL Awesome are pretty freaking brutal now too. Heck, you can fire 3 LPL's and be nearly heat neutral.

Have not tried it since the patch but I ran this 8Q last.
Used to be this before the Pulse heat was too much.
Right now I am mastering the PB in this form. Pretty effective, it has gone up 100 in damage output.
Still have not broke out my 8R brawler either.
No longer own the 8T or 8V, maybe someday again.
Never got the 9M yet.
