Can you try a DNS refresh and let me know if it persists?

1. Press Windows key + R to open the Run window.
2. Type cmd and hit Enter.
3. In the command prompt window, type:
4. ipconfig /flushdns and hit Enter.

Today it happens to me too. I've sent mail before I found this thread, so I will send it again with data you requested.

24 hour later, it works. Just like that.

I had similarish problem. Tried patching on saturday, but the patcher crashed mid-update and then kept crashing every time I restarted it. I backed up my profile folder and uninstalled. However, the fresh install crashed in somewhat similar fashion.

Gave fresh install a new go today. Just to be sure, I disabled UAC, gave "Everyone" full permissions to "Piranha games" folder (permission propagate to folders and files beneath it) and started the installer as an Administrator.

Yet again the patcher crashed, but from the logs I noticed the patcher was unable to create or access a file in Piranha Games\MechWarrior Online\Game -folder. Upon checking I noticed the "Game" folder was missing so I just created it myself and started the patcher again.
This time it was able to complete the installation and apply all the patches on top too. I hope this helps someone having similar issues.

The frontend_patcher_log.txt -log file is located in Piranha Games\MechWarrior Online\Bin32\PatcherLogs, just in case someone hasn't found it.

Any resolution to this problem? I just started getting endless install base patch yesterday. Flushing the dns did not solve the problem.

I had it happen yesterday and today, closing and restarting a couple times as well as setting admin rights for mwo seems to have fixed it for now. I did it before seeing your request for logs and such. If it happens again, I'll submit a report as described.

The frontend log was giving me that same line about "Current version is unlisted, applying ZTN."

I too am having this issue. I've managed to correct it by compleatly uninstalling the game, and doing a fresh install, but the problem always comes back within one to three days. I've run the repair tool but it has no effect, and i've about hit my limit with this, as i'm spending more time reinstalling the game than playing it.

Can you explain what DNS has to with the patcher and file versions much less flushing the DNS cache? The patcher is the problem. It is deleting files constantly while "patching" and/or when the using the repair tool. It is marking files as corrupt or invalid when the files were operational 24 hour earlier.
Are you saying as developers you cannot recreate this issue on your end? This is happening to far to many people to be a "DNS issue".
Downloading the same 2Gb or so worth of files over and over is not a problem on my PC's end..it is PGI's software causing the problem.
We don't have space issue son the hard drives and Admin rights should not be the issue either. All of our local file security rights did not automagically change at the same time.

The patcher and repair tool keep removing the 64bit directory or one and no longer even try to download. The below list of files is what the repair tool keeps replacing over and over.

-Clean shaders
-Clean local cache of FE data (fresh data will download the next time the game is run).

After running the Repair Tool at least 4x it finally recognized that the Bin64 dir was missing. Seems I will just copy/backup the Bin64 dir for when this occurs every few hours.

Man I totally forgot about the premium time that I have wasted. Are we going to get a reimbursement on that? I activated 30 days off the website before this bug became active. So far I have submitted two tickets with no response. We really need a reimbursement on the premium time since this bug is not allowing us to play.

Changing my DNS worked.
Fushing DNS did nothing for me.

If you have tried everything but that, like I did, it will probably work.

I have had this problem on and off for about a month and the last week none of the fixes work anymore. Hopefully the upcoming patch will address this issue since so many people are getting it.
