Ok, I've gone on record stating that a few things would have to happen before my wallet opened back up to MWO.

The "all or nothing" sale hit the mark albeit in a temporary way. It's not that I thought that the prices were "cheap" mind you, I believe they just became reasonable in a semi-global way that I felt I should encourage. While it didn't happen for all mechs I thought that it was time to encourage PGI/IGP on this front.

So I dropped $30 and bought myself an Ember, an Arrow and a Firebrand (and a couple of mech bays to put them in).

This $30 is me putting my money where my mouth is concerning my comments of the past.

My wallet is again closed though and I won't be scanning the sales daily (although I log in almost daily for at least a game or two). Make these prices "normal" and I'll buy far more mechs in the future.

I only think about Heroes when they're on sale, and even then the usual answer is no. My first Hero was the Ember, which is fantastic (duh, it's a Firestarter). The Jester I picked up during the promotion where they had a different Hero on sale very day for a week, and it's ok. Last week I picked up a Death Knell and a YLW. The Knell I haven't used yet, but I just got around to the YLW yesterday morning, and... The YLW is an absolute dream to pilot. Fast, tough, and that killer cannon wrecks people hard.

For the money... a TW is better. If you've got one though I'd agree with Escef. TDK, Ember, YLW.

Ember is awesome. Almost as good at the FS9H IMO.

I'm also finding the arrow kind of fun but to be honest the Ember is a better mech if you want MGs.

Makes it good to go up against all the clan broken hitboxes I guess but to be honest I find it's softer than many of my other lights.

I never bought an ember only fought them and used them on the test server. Its got to be the strongest light in the game. Other than maybe the death nell but im guessing this is more of a lag shield.

Ya the clan are new and the hitboxes are junk.

My wallet remains closed.

Yup, been trying to preach the YLW for 2 years.

Not a fan of the Jester or tDK.

TDK used to be my "cheese raven" remover.

That was all it was good for....literally. Since most raven pilots back then could barely hit an Atlas, it was quicker than raven on raven violence.

I wanted to get the Death Knell for my bro because it was so cheap and he doesn't play enough to unlock the commando variants. But money is tight and I couldn't justify spending even $7 bucks on a hero mechs atm.

Not spending a cent until they fix all the server crash/disconnect issues. In one game last night seven people disco'd in the first 30 seconds of the match. I die to disconnects every second or third match. I would have bought more heroes during the last sale, but MWO is bordering on "uninstall" status right now.

I've heard people make these kind of claims before, but I almost never see anything like it. Since they added the Rejoin feature I've gotten a couple random disconnects, but you guys that already had bad connections must be sucking it now.

And I kinda' wish I'd listened. That's 2 for you Bishop. Just like how I was hesitant about XL engines in Catapults, now all 5 of my Catapults run them.

I do have my occasional moments of lucidity. First to admit, my "methods" don't work for everyone, but I can pretty well promise ya, anything I promote has been working for me, which at the end of the day, is the only real measurement I can trust, 100%.
