Hey Guys. I tried insalling this game when it first came out but my graphics card was woefully inadequate. Now, with a better card, I've installed the game but shortly after clicking the shortcut im prompted with:

MechWarrioronline.exe - Fatal Error

CLR error: 80004005
The Program will now terminate.

I've looked throuhg the forum and see that im not the only one with this problem, but what i dont see is a concrete answer to rectifying the problem. One member suggested updating the .NET framework, which.. i have and Im now running the most recent framework, however im still faced with that prompt. Any Suggestions would be greatly appreciated

(If this is in the wrong sub-forum, forgive me, I can repost somehwere else)

When you first open the patcher, do not do anything beyond that.

Look in the upper right corner. From right to left you will see "X" for close, "_" for minimize, and finally two gears.

Click on that. (The two gears). You will have 3 options. "Run the MWO repair tool."

Once you go through it, come back and tell us what happens. That's for repairing installs.

So.. the patcher, i assume you mean MWOpatcher.exe in the folder labelled Bin32?

I get the same results... I click the application, get asked if I want the program to make changes, click yes... immediately given the CLR error prompt again.

The repair tool is provided in the launcher, which is used for patching & launching the game. I'm assuming you can't even launch it due to said error.

You'll need this -----> http://mwomercs.com/...public-release/

Link to download repair tool seperately is in the very first (dev) post. If using the repair tool fails, delete your old mwo installer, download it again and do a fresh re-install.

As an addition. If dragnier1's suggestion doesn't work, don't despair.

Download a registry cleaner like C&C cleaner (ninite.com is a good place to get it), and use it to wipe your registry. Then do the uninstall/re-install process.
