PGI, your new Module system is a good start. However, in my opinion you did not go far enough, and your new system is too limiting and actually hurts variant diversity and role warfare rather than enhancing it. I propose a second interation of the system that improves upon your current work, allowing you to incentivize the purchase of more modules, emphasize specific roles for specific variants, and broaden the diversity of builds available across each chassis and variant.

Currently there are three kinds of Module slots: Consumable, Mech, and Weapon. I propose dividing Mech Modules into Sensor and Mobility Modules. Accompany this with a complete revision pass on every variant.

For instance, the Jenners used to have the following: D had 2 base, F had 1, and K had 3. Given that the K has nothing aside from its extra Module slots to make it worth driving compared to the D or the F, having that extra Module slot helped it to fulfill a specific role.

Now, every Jenner other than the Oxide has the same 2 C, 1 M, 2 W arrangement as the baseline for most mechs. Suddenly the K is rendered entirely redundant, except for in Stock matches.

Using my proposal, we might see something like the following:

JR7-D: 2C, 1M, 1S, 3W
JR7-F: 2C, 2M, 1S, 2W
JR7-K: 2C, 2M, 3S, 2W
OXIDE: 2C, 2M, 2S, 2W

You can see here that the D, with its somewhat larger variety of weapons, now puts emphasis on its Striker role with an extra Weapon Module slot. The F gains a slight Mobility edge, while the K becomes the Sensor specialist of the Jenner line. The OXIDE, meanwhile, retains its all-around balanced Module arrangement.

Let's look at Atlas next:

AS7-D: 2C, 2M, 2S, 2W
AS7-D-DC: 2C, 1M, 3S, 2W
AS7-K: 2C, 3M, 1S, 2W
AS7-RS: 2C, 2M, 1S, 3W
BOAR'S HEAD: 2C, 1M, 1S, 4W

You can see that in this case, the D becomes the balanced variant, the K becomes the mobility specialist, the D-DC specializes in Sensors, while the RS and Boar's Head focus on Weapon upgrades (the BH going even further in this direction, just like it does with the hardpoints).

Apply these same principles across all variants and I think you'll have a huge boost in diversity, with each variant having something that its Modules make it especially good at. It also helps in strengthening weaker variants (like the JR7-K and AS7-K) and promoting role warfare overall.
