I was listening to the Town Hall with Russ and he mentioned decals coming soon, and it got me thinking. Are there any "official" unit colors or patterns. Certainly not advocating requiring people to paint their mechs certain ways or anything, just wondering.

I don't think they have an official "I was drunk when I painted this mech" pattern yet, but that would be a good feature request! I could see it having a "random" button and taking random colors that you own and just splashing it around the mech, maybe even differently each time you press the button. I would probably splurg to buy that pattern ;)

^ That.

But in all seriousness, not really. Since clans were released, Table and I have been running the Ghost Bear color scheme, being that that is our faction. However, we have withheld making the decision as to what the Grog Corps' official colors should be ('official' being a representation of the group, not a requirement of course) until we know further details about Phase 2 of CW, and recruit enough pilots to get a general consensus from the group about what the colors could/should be. If we end up being able to switch factions at any time, and must be associated with a particular faction in order to participate in a certain battle, it would make sense to choose a color scheme for the Grog Corps that is not associated with an existing main faction, something that represents the group. So we really don't know anything next Tuesday when the details of Phase 2 will be disclosed.

Nothing wrong with coming up with a few ideas now though. We're totally open for suggestions, Table and I were thinking black as the main color..

I was thinking along the lines of Yellow, Red, and Brown. Yes I know, sounds ugly but hear me out: Yellow for Beer, Red for Wine, and Brown for liquor. :P

Normally Fridays are my grog days, but I have a family trip this weekend, so I'm moving it to Thursday. And until someone overpowers me with their girth and prowess, Thursdays are now Dakka-Dursdays. Droppin all Dakka, all the time. Someone make me a poster!

One poster coming right up! ... well.. we'll get you one sometime :P. We are planning on Grogcasting Saturday I believe, so you will miss out, but do not fret, we shall make it up to you by joining in on one of your amazing-sounding Dakka-Dursdays the next opportunity we get. Perhaps tomorrow but who can predict what will happen that far in the future right?

Also if you have not yet checked out the Google Docs spreadsheet.. please check your messages.

I'd be able to join on Thursdays after 9:30pm for an hour or so.

Could probably put a few hours in on Saturdays too. What time do you guys usually get started?

Does dual AC/20 count as Dakka? Or do I need to strip it and refit AC/2's? ;)

(p.s. I hates AC/2 ghost heat!)

We usually start Grogcast's pretty late our time. Every time in the past we have announced 7:00 pm in our flyers, but haven't technically started playing until after eight. So I'm going to say the earliest on Saturday will be 8:00 pm, though we will try for sooner. So hopefully you can make it out!

Join the Grog Corps tonight at 8:00 PM eastern time for The Dawn of the Day of the Night of the Hero Mech Grogcast. We will be streaming live on our Twitch channel this evening running nothing but Hero Mechs. Dual Heavy Metals? Got 'em. Some Misery on Misery action? You know it. Two Pretty Babies too much for you? Us too.

See you there!

We'll see what we can do, though with the group constantly growing, logging in to find that no other group members are online is hard to come by these days. How cool is that!

To all members,
Just a reminder that there is a group spreadsheet, and if you want to keep tabs on who's who, as well as if we have any new recruits, give it a perusal every once in a while.

Happy Hunting and see you in the queue!

Being great fans of grog ourselves, we are glad to welcome you to the Merc society. Just warning you, my crew has a way of wandering off with loose grog . . .

Good to hear from the pirates themselves! Our appreciation of grog comes from being pirate fans of course. So we accept your welcoming in a mutual understanding of carousal, cheers! We hope to see you on the battlefield and definitely in Community Warfare. And don't worry about wandering off with our grog, not only are we happy to share, but there is always plenty to go around when it comes to the Grog Corps!
