It is key to the Clan Tech and Tactics.

I would be happy if it was just classed as a light mech.

Lord knows I'd clean up as a single Elemental in the solo queue.....just hunting down the drooling, mouthbreathing "Elite Veterans" of 25 games in third person.

Man...it'd be glorious.

Considering the speed that 'Mechs in MechWarrior Online move at, I'd be very surprised if your first leap reached the exposed flesh internals before you were melted/exploded/ by lasers/AC20/LBX. ;)

Oh man I hated them little peckerheads in MW3. So hard to hit!!! It would be neat to see them Locust sized, or smaller

Aff, MW 101011, i guess i will just have to do that.....as soon as they are available for C-bills, or when PGI lets us get salvage, whichever comes first.

I may be Davion by name, but respect the Clans, so maybe I can get some by winning a Trial of Posession.

I challenge you to a Trial - Augmented or un-augmented?

I'd be OK with it, but I think you would find it suffers a bit from the same problems as the Urbanmech. It has a top speed of 10.8 kph. It would need directional jumping to have a chance.

Please, I'd rather have aerospace fighters.

At least they move fast enough to deal with the current meta builds.

Which is why they usually ride into battle on their BIG Brothers and then swarm off when they arrive at the battle. Or they pre-deploy to the battle site and ambush. Either way, the speed never seemed to matter when they jumped on your back and started prying open your cockpit like a tin can.

Oh, I didn't even mean they couldn't get around the battlefield. Consider how quickly a legged light mech crumples. I'm not even sure how much armor they have but they only weigh 1 ton.

Fair enough, and i agree, they would need the directional JJs....

As for armor, they basically have no armor that can sustain a mech grade weapon, except maybe a small laser/MG hit (and that would still take off an arm or a leg if that is where they got hit. CT (they have no true side torsos i dont think), and a single ML will kill them, which is why they relied on size and mobility to stay out of the crosshairs.

I still think they would be fun to try, but they should be very hard to hit unless standing still regardless of their speed. I think they are only about 2.5 meters tall? So, i think they would mostly be picked off by firing at a friendly mech that is being swarmed by them. While they are prying your armor off and firing a small laser into your gyro/fusion reactor, they are literally standing still (albeit on a moving target.....)

Elementals in previous MW games like MW3 and MW4 were essentially designed as "Ghetto Protomechs" with a smaller size than normal mechs and generally less tonnage for mounting stuff (although you could cram an ERPPC on an Elemental in MW3 if you tried hard enough, lol). They were essentially buffed from their BT effectiveness, and even then they weren't that great.

In reality, the suits weigh 1000 kilograms, or 1 metric ton. They have the same tonnage as a Medium Laser. They run at 10.8 kph. They pack an SRM2 with 1 shot, and can use a modular mount to carrying something like a Machine Gun or ER Small Laser. Their anti-personnel mount can't carry things strong enough to hurt giant robots. I don't know what their armor is (can't find a PDF record sheet), but it's not particularly thick. You'll basically die the instant an enemy sweeps a laser over you.

You really sure you wanna pilot one of those?

In MW3 elementals could go 200kph. Because their engine rating system was based on tonnage and elementals didnt weigh anything so they could abuse the system lol. I remember I could also fit on an LRM15 and one or two tons of ammo. I used to beat cauldron borns 1v1 in multiplayer.
