Does "-50% external heat transfer" mean what I think it does - that the ambient heat affects it only half as much, either way?

Yeah, quirks like these I'm really happy to see. They add flavour to chassis.

Overall, I'd say it's a net gain really. It works against flamers too, but.. lol@flamers. But I'd rather be closer to neutral on a cold map and closer to neutral on a hot map than the extremes - I build my mechs for optimal use on neutral maps after all
