Now to my "MWO history":
- started shortly before founders were able to get into the beta
- played pretty intense until the release of the highlander
- played a few matches after that time and mostly started MWO when some event was announced
- returned to this game roughly a week ago
- since the beginning my most used mechs were light ones
things that got better:
- more mechs
- more maps
- no more baserush cap games
- jumpjet snipers as good as gone
- clan mechs made it into the game
- achievements
- a few hitboxes were fixed
- some mechvariants can use bigger engines than before
- more events that give something special instead of "xy 50% of the MC price"
neutral things:
- way to less maps which are made purely for the use of night- or heatvision
- getting a new mech and equipment still takes too much time
- mechbays never seem to be on a discount
- just the usual gamemodes (there could be something like on team has to defend a position and one to take it or protecting a VIP mech)
- giving your mech a name is nice but it would be nicer if this name would be shown during the fighting
- no patterns for cbills and those for MC sure cost a lot ... (yes i know they have to make money but there can be other ways; feel free to copy the WT way where you can grind or pay for them)
- i miss collisions. sadly they never made it back into the game. was a lot of fun to trip a heavy mech with a light or to try to trip an assault (i hate the current "warping" when somehow running into/against another mech
- i would like to see special bonusses implemented for filling out a role during the battle; like extra cbills and xp for lights when they spot someone; the former for mediums but for assisting in kills; heavies for kills; assault for "tanking" damage (this could be a problem but i think it would be doable)
things that got worse:
- clanmechs makes me feel like you need p2w until the timeline gives IS better things (yes i know from the point of lore clan should stomp IS right now; but from the point of a competitive game there should be way more balance; and i dont trust PGI to get it right)
- some hitboxes are (still) messed up (legs of Raven; torso of Timberwolf; Spider; maybe Firestarter)
- overall dmg is too high and brings the game closer to a shooter instead of a tactical game (maybe lower it by 10-20%)
- LRMs are again the curse of almost every random-game ... there are just too much missiles flying around with to less ways to get into safety (you cant outrun them; not every time and everywhere you have decent cover; clantech brings even more of them into the game; AMS is still damn useless)
- there is still no lobby that brings the community closer together when they are just hanging around before joining a match
- warfare should have been out long ago, instead we get the first step now and have again to hope that things dont get messed up
- still no reward for having all mechs of a type (i remember something like unlocking achievements, special camou and so on)
- giving out Infos during a match is a pain (feel free to copy the shortcuts of a WoT or WT)
- mechs in the Trainingmaps dont change giving you no chance to learn their weakspots before fighting them
- still no special highlighting for players who joined the match as a team (yes i wanna know who probably works together)
- ui 2.0 or whatever the current version is still sucks in comparision to what i had back before my pause (to much clicking, to much asking if i wanna do something, not enough infos on a mech like where are my hardpoints and so on)
- stats are still on the forum and not in the game and they still miss a lot of thinks that could "cheer up" people who ain running for k/d ratio only
would love to see my ELO somewhere ... have more the Feeling i get matched totally randomly or some of those "very good" players aint that good and land in matches with/against me (and hell i dont think that i am good enough to be on their ELO)
p.s. sorry for every typing error - english aint my fist language
