The title pretty much says it all. This game is less about kills and much more about how much damage you do to the enemy in a given life/match. Why is a stat like K/D tracked but a stat that actually matters, "Average Damage Per Match" is not? What's even worse is that in the stats, it has a "Total damage" for each mech, as if that somehow makes a difference? Of course my mech that I have had since launch would have racked up way more damage than a mech that I have only played for a week. Why would total damage even be relevant?

Because that would be an actually useful metric, and K2D kiddies might have reason to feel bad about themselves.

So the stats page has the total damage for a mech and it also has the total matches played for a mech. Guess what you can find using those two pieces of information.

Can you divide total damage by number of matches and discover your "average damage" per match? Can you? Math! Stay in school children, you WILL learn something.

Total Damage ÷ Total Matches = Average Damage per Match

I hope there is a smartphone app for this...

Yes, let me just go do the math on my 55 mechs real quick. That is entirely practical since a few lines of code from PGI wouldn't be able to just show me my total average at a glance.

Have you heard of Excel? It takes all of 1 minute to copy the table, enter two =Sum formulas and one =Cell/Cell formula AND TADA. Good god you're lazy. I'd rather they design maps and game modes.

Well that table is already getting rather crowded, so PGI had to draw the line somewhere. You may notice they also fail to include the average number of kills per match, average number of deaths per match, average time per match and average XP per match.

In fact the only 2 pieces of information they give that aren't necessary (meaning they can be worked out using other pieces of information given) are the K/D and W/L ratios. It would make more sense to leave those out (meaning more simple calculations for the player to do themselves) to give us the total assists and C-Bills earned on the mech as those would be much more useful numbers to have.

I would like to see an average in the table for convienence, but all it takes is some quick math on a cell phone calculator.

I like the stat, but if I am real curious, 10 seconds and I have my answer.

This is actually a really important stat, I really wish it would keep track of this in the stats.
