Played the heck out of the MW2 ATI Rage Edition that came with a video card I wanted for another game. First started getting online with MW3, kept on playing since, expansions, etc...pc only, roughly 16 years.

Started with tabletop and the Books.
I even still have the contract, i and a friend made to buy MW2 and who may use it when :-)
Think i got the Matrox Mystique edition.
Played MW 3 only briefly, cause i never made it beyond one early Mission.
I gave to someone and never saw it again.
i still play MW4 Mercs on my desktop (xp) and will try to get MW4 Vengance on my Laptop (Vista).
I´m 32 now and will try to get a shot at this game but between working shifts,my wife and a Baby and goin to the gym will be not that much time :-(

been a blast...
did not play from early 96 till 2005ish as I felt the addition of the clans unbalanced the game to much.. still do

First game I've ever played, and was introduced to it through my dad. I've been playing for nearly 12 years already.

I was first exposed to BattleTech around 1988 or 1989 by an old friend who was really into D&D (Shoutout to Jason Randall)
In 1989 I played the original MechWarrior PC game until I was blue in the face...On a friends PC no less (Again, 'sup Jason)
1991-1992 or so I finally visited the BattleTech Center in Chicago and played in system 2.5
In 1999 I acquired my first set of BattleTech VR Cockpits (4 3.0 cockpits from California). Was the first person to purchase cockpits for use at home.
Somewhere in there I got my hands on an old but functional FASA Interactive alpha build of the PC BattleTech game and got permission to give it away for free (distributed with the help of MekTek).
At one point in time I even owned and possessed the entire FASA development library (That is a truckload of a story in its own right)
In 2005 I purchased majority ownership of Virtual World Entertainment (The guys who make the BattleTech pods) and have been heavily vested into the promotion of the franchise as a whole since.
Somewhere in there I bought BattleTech.Com and partnered with Catalyst Games to turn it into the master BattleTech portal under the leadership of Randall Bills.
In the mean time, I have participated in some fashion in the marketing or development of MechWarrior 4, MechAssault 1 and 2, VirtualWorld Tesla 4 and Firestorm, Classic BattleTech, Dark Age, MechWarrior 4 Free Release, MechWarrior TC, and other products I cant mention here at this time.
I really like BattleTech, and if I'm lucky, I get to play 1-2 games in some form or another every year

After reading the recent publications, I doubt that. If the Spirits pop their heads up it wouldn't be pretty.

Never liked the Clan or IS stuff, so pretty much stopped playing after they droped the 'unseen' mechs. Still have a /ton/ of actual mechs and vehicles for the table top game though.
