Hey guys, I would like to know if there is a way
to turn off minimap without turning off the HUD?
If not, I would like to suggest two HUD modes:
Full and crossair only (aim), without paper mechs, minimap, etc.
The reason for this is that perched up, the minimap often
is in the way of aiming.
Also, turning off the HUD still gives over 25FPS of gain which i will
find absolutely ridiculous, though I have no idea why static images
could tax a vid card like this.
Thanks for any advice.

If you use third person, many of the HUD items go away including the mini map. This may not be the best solution, but I believe it is currently the only option.

Why would you ever want to remove it... it gives situational awareness which is a HUGE benefit.
More people should try looking at it.

Except it doesn't really solve the problem, because in third person your arms are locked and you can't aim down anyway.
For me I just "guess" where I'm shooting, and it usually works for the few times I have to shoot down over the minimap

If you let the PUG's turn off important information pertinent to winning the match, they will turn it off. I say no.
However, some performance improvements or options to increase performance for the HUD would be welcomed.
