Leave Clan ER Large Lasers as they are. They already run hot and have a long beam duration.
Leave the PPC/ER PPC speeds at 1,500m/s
The easiest way to desync PPC/ER PPC + Gauss/AC weapons is they cannot fire within 2 (or 1) seconds of each other.

- you increased the beam duration and to keep the HPS in check you increased the heat for the weapon (because increased beam and constant heat would have resluted in reduced HPS rating - going for more heat neutral mechs
- you lowered the number of weapons before Ghost Heat to 2 weapons, because you did you increased the base heat - because 2.16 additional heat wouldn't be a thing to consider
How to do things right:
- decrease the beam duration, increase the heat (1.25sec to 10 heat)
- keep everything else as you have planed it
- So when firing two ER-Large Lasers your Mech will get 29,6 to 26,64 as with the current idea
- BUT:
- while your Plan will cause a weapon with 1,3 heat for 1,125 dmg in 100ms
- you get a weapon that causes 2,37 heat for 1,8 dmg in 100ms
- (reminder dual IS ER Large Lasers cause 1.8dmg in 100ms for 1.7 heat)

The only clan mech I play regularly is the Cute Fox. But apparently it's an alpha striking meta powerhouse. I for one will not be standing out in the open staring at the enemy for 4 seconds with my 30-odd points of CT armor just to use the now useless lasers.
Please refund my clan collection and my a la carte purchases so I can put the money into something worthwhile like the Elite Dangerous expansion pass.

CERLL Nerf is absolutely Bullshit. The range/heat/duration of the weapon almost demands for it to be used in pairs and upwards, and you have hiked the penalty for doing so to a ludicrous level. Who is going, to fire one, where they need to aim for two seconds (while you can be shot mind) to do 10/11 damage?

If they instituted 10 v 12 (one Clan mech binary (2 mech stars of 5 each) against an IS company of 3 lances (of 4 mechs each) for those of you who do not know what means), perhaps this playing with the weapons would not needed to have been done.

I have seen rounds and rounds of weapon changes that just moved players to other set of weapons and never changed the underlying issue of pin point damage.
I am not an elite player, nor would I find it interesting to play 2PPC+Gauss or 2PP+AC only builds. If I wanted that, I'd go play a first person shooter. The fun of BattleTech is the diversity and viability of mechs, builds, player styles and levels.
Logically, next up would be MLs+LRM or SRM for average players, and elite players will move to their next biggest pin point damage combo. As a player, I can't even remember the all the ghost heat caps for this or that weapon any more.
PGI, for the sake of the BattleTech franchise, consider re-visiting pin point damage vs cone of fire. I am still here after all this time because of the franchise, but I won't be here forever. Don't run the franchise into the ground.
Many of us who grew up with BattleTech in the 80s and 90s, and now have things other than BattleTech to spend money and time on will agree.

Call me crazy, but I would say most of the people who read and post are rather put off by this change. With some exceptions including people who are still somehow being patient with PGI (I would be one of them but I already had to put up with serious BS for 20 years and that was a family member).
So... I hope you "developers" have learned a thing or two in the last year or so. Although I suppose if that was the case, you would not be doing stupid things like this so often.
Pray tell... are any of you lot on the Autism spectrum? Because you probably should be.

No, this is what developers of active MMOs and online games do. I don't know what year you just woke up from, but actively tweaking balance and making changes to the way things work is at the focal point of online game development and maintenance.

I read the changes and thought "well that seems a bit drastic, but we'll see how it works in game".
Then I started reading the comments and apparently every clan mech just became completely useless.
Were there other nerfs that I missed, or are people relying on CERPPCs and CERLLs that much?

If there's anything to learn it's that people who post on forums in rage are completely unreliable and will at best post emotional garbage. Nothing said so far in this thread has been reasonable and if there was anything reasonable it was drowned out by a thousand outbursts of a bunch of people who sound like they suffer from a combination of Down's syndrome and Tourettes.

Have you? I don't need to try to know (but I have fired 3 ERLL IS before, but that is not compareable anymore). I have played since CB I have seen anything.
To try something like that you use the test server. Not live.

Both 2 sec. burn time and brutal GH from 2 pieces? That sounds like overkill... Ok, from now on I'm going to use macros to fire c-ER LL in chain 0,55 sec. apart. Thx. for forcing me to macros PGI :-(.
Please note that I do not protest against heat increase. As far as burn time goes, IMHO 1,75 sec. would be reasonable. But GH from firing just 2, thats ridiculous...
<irony>Give PPC's same GH penalty, everyone will love you</irony>

No, I have not tried it, but I am also not condemning it like it was the latest attack on Gaza. So, I am not in a state where I have to defend anything. You are, however. But maybe you'll leave that to your lawyer?

And slowing down PPC's, I don't want to go back to beta days when nobody used them, but this can be tested at least.
