I know this is all over the forums right now but I have a slightly different take on it. What do the following mechs have in common:

Timberwolf Prime/C

Summoner D

Direwolf Prime

WarHawk A/D

Hellbringer A

Executioner Prime

StormCrow Prime

Linebacker A

Shadowcat A

Maddog B


Allow me to tell you. They utilize dual ER Large Lasers as their primary bread and butter weapon. Even the idea of a ghost heat penalty for fire more than one er large laser is silly from basic Omni standpoint; couldn't we have started with the increased duration nerf to at least try to keep it somewhat close to the cannon? I'm not saying everything has to tie one for one but this just seems strange.

Am I just being stickler for detail that doesn't matter?

Paul doesn't care. He didn't care for the Swayback, Awesome, or various other mechs, and he doesn't care about any others, either. "Heat scale" is his pet project and he's gonna give you mysterious heat from paranormal sources if it's the last thing he does.

Yeah, game devs make the weirdest damn decisions for gameplay balance......yikes...

LL Changes make me wanna play this game even less....

So not only does the CLL have a duration double of the IS, but it has 2 laser Ghost heat and more innate heat given to it. As if firing 1 single LL is going to do anything....

I'm just saying we have 4 prime variants that utilize dual Er Large lasers; maybe the effectiveness of the TW as the greatest mech ever was overstated. o.O

If I wish to play with Clan tech, you can bet CERLLaser will be the least of the reasons. The Dakka is what I want to experience.

So Paul applies Ghost Heat to DoT weaponry.

If we're on an Island ™... I don't want to be found. I don't want to go back to a "civilization" like this.

I have been playing since closed beta. I have bought ever pack, expect the reinforcement pack. I have almost every hero mech. I But the 2s and 2 or more ghost heat nerf is to much. Paul you broke my heart. I am taking a break. I need the space Paul. It was hard and dangerous enough with 1.5s, now 2s. Why Paul why? You are telling me 22.5 damage is to much. Who have you been seeing? What are you on drugs? I I just got to go.

Yeah, 30 PP FLD is OK. And that's stated by PGI themselves. But somehow 22.5 DoT damage is not OK. That's not consistent.

If you had ever played against CSJ in the group queue you might understand why CERLLs are being nerfed lol. Is the nerf completely overboard? Yes. They could have increased the recycle time instead of making it that you can only fire one at a time.
