Don't know why they even bothered

XL's that behave like standards
More efficient endo and ferro
Smaller heatsinks
Lighter, smaller longer range weapons with more dps, and less heat/damage.

Yeah, we'll balance that right out by euhm, gimping big autocannons and doing a slightly longer burn on lasers.

Did anyone really expect a different outcome?

I figured they'd let matchmaking sort everything out, but you can't really do that if you want clan vs IS matches and people want to drive their direwolves, unless the rest runs adders or something.

Anyway, glad I'm not responsible for gamebalance. Trying to balance it even for 12 v 10 is going to require massive nerfs that'll upset a lot of people. Convergence or heatsystem overhaul would be nice too, but I've given up on those.

I certainly did. I was disappointed. Only a 71% loss in my matches.

I'm looking forward to the private match testing. It should yield some relevant info, and you can always switch from IS to Clan to get some accurate info. If the same team keeps rolling in IS or Clan, that shows something different than if the Clan mechs roll the IS no matter the team.

Did they actually use teams of experienced players on both sides or did they just lump everyone that happened to be on into groups that didn't even know what was going on? Because lumping a group of players that care enough to buy a clan mech pack versus someone who's just playing for shits and giggles, you're going to get some awfully weird readings.

Matchmaking tries to do similar elo's, hard to do for every match of course, guess that's why there were a bunch of IS on IS and clan on clan matches as well.

Anything you do to give PGI feedback and/or test anythign is pointless. It's not like they listen anyhow

Dunno, compared to the old days they listen quite well now. Remember how long it took them before they did something about ecm, despite overwhelming feedback? It's why I have 450K XP on my DDC.

Probably would've helped.

Actually I would assume that this was part of the wanted data. After all, 12v12 IS and 10v10 clan will be a thing too.
