Can I use the Intel 4000 graphics chip to play Mechwarrior? If not, will it be supported soon? http://www.intel.com...-developer.html

never tried it out because: it simply sucks...
but im sure, because its a graphic "card" (onboard chip), you may play MWO with it but it will be slow and FPS will be, for sure, very very low so it might be unplayable.
get a standalone graphics card.. those intel onboard chips are for office uses only... something like that.
to play games with it will end in frustration.

It should run, not well, but might be playable at extremely low resolutions.

Try it out, you don't have to pay to download MWO.

Thanks, I tried it. It stinks. I do hope it will be supported one day. I have a laptop, so I can't upgrade it.
It's not a matter of support. The graphics capabilities of an HD4000 are just incredibly inferior to a dedicated video card. It's like using the engine out of a geo metro to run a dump truck.

its not a matter of support its about gpu power. hd intel graphics rate like the following link http://www.videocard...u=Intel+HD+4000
vs the minimum specs for this game require http://www.videocard...GeForce+8800+GT
now i ran hd graphics for this game at med settings for 6 months but the cpu in question was a i7 3770s. this allowed around 700 points in the videocard benchmark test. basically hd graphics only can sorta work on a high end i7 otherwise forget it and get a proper gaming machine
