Had a battle on Alpine Peaks yesterday I was piloting a Kitfox. I could never approach the hill before in the open because of those nasty, very mean and very long range ERPPC's. Now it's fun to fight any mech armed with duel ERPPC's cause I can now dodge them at will.

Once on Alpine Peaks I has a battle with a Shadowhawk I think and he was armed with ERPPC, me with 3x med lasers. We fought over 500m and every time he fired his ERPPC I dodged it. He left the fight.

My point in all of this, I don't think I should have been able to dodge the ERPPC, those weapons use to keep me on my toes and kept me very respectful. My respect for those weapons are now gone, no fear.

I used to only peek over a hilltop for a fraction of a second, now not only can I peek for much longer but I can launch a very accurate arty strike before having to dodge a well aimed ERPPC shot.

Now I no longer fear those dreaded weapons.

I still have daymares concerning the duel guass, please nerf those next so I can dominate the mech battlespace.

PGI wanted PPCs to require more skill than LRMs, now they do.
Besides that is a good lesson for you shadowhawk friend, Shadowhawks are better suited to ballistics and/or missiles anyway.

And that's a good point, but, that Shadowhawk would have hit me with every shot had I not seen them coming.

I can understand dodging LRMS but one should not be able to dodge an energy weapon. The CERLL are almost as bad and as I stated earlier mine are now all gone. And while I cannot dodge an CERLL I can certainly take the brief hit as I'm torso twisting & moving out of the way, get a look at where it came from, lock that target and return effective fire all before the CERLL beam ends.

The only weapon on the mech battlespace that gives me pause is the gauss and I'm thankful there are very few pilots that are extremely effective with that weapon system.
