A couple weeks ago I noticed my frame rate dropped during game to single digits. Obviously this made the game unplayable. Then later I noticed my CPU usage spiking while doing somethine as simple as streaming a video. So I went about all the steps i know of to fix the problem.

First thing I did was a virus scan, turned up nothing. Did a malware scan. Found some stuff and got rid of it. Ran windows update, a disk cleanup, and a defrag. While I no longer get CPU usage spikes watching online videos, my frame rate still shits the bed while running through testing grounds, specifically as more mechs are destroyed it gets worse.

So I then uninstalled MWO and reinstalled it hoping beyond hope that might work. It did nothing which confirms it's my computer and not the game. I'm about to go an reinstall my video card but I was wondering if anyone else might know what is wrong o how to go about fixing it.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

This is perhaps the best free program for fixing computer problems on the internet.

What I like about Advanced System Care is that it's the only program I have ever found that will clean up your registry without you having to pay for it.

You might want to give it a try. Registry and Network issues can cause more slowdowns than Viruses and Spyware sometimes.

Be careful with the privacy sweep, you probably want to uncheck that. It's a little too thorough and can delete your saved logins and passwords.

I opened my tower, disconnected my video card, then put it back. Seems to have worked. Thanks anyways.
