So I completed a match and got the final figures for XP at 1520. The Bonus was 38 additional XP. They have to be kidding.

yeah it's pretty lame, and at first I thought it might be worth keeping them in a set... but then I saw the amount and loled...

I think that the original intent of the set bonus was that each individual body part would contribute 2.5%, and they would combine their buffs together to form a single super-buff.

However, in actual gameplay, the 2.5% doesn't stack at all. All you get is an extra 2.5% XP at the end, which is basically meaningless.

Only if you do 1000-1500 damage or more. I am not complaining though. It is actually just stupid funny.

if they really want to incentivize distincting between the clan configurations, they really should have given the set a bigger bonus, and even bonuses for 2/8, 4/8 of the set as well.

just game design stuff.

The full set bonus is pointless.

Since I used my kitfoxes in the very first test server I never ever bothered with the full set bonus, even taking one jumpjet leg pod with one single jumpjet is so infinitely more useful.

I did the math. Over the course of leveling the mech it saves me one match.

Uh. Yeah. No incentive at all. And it's an easy fix: 5% c-bills. People would make it work for that.

Yeah the bonus is stupid.

You are more likely do a lot better in the 40 matches with a fully optimized setup instead of forcing yourself to use inferior albeit "standard" pod setups.

I agree, the bonus is just pointless.

I still prefer to match everything if I can, though. But that's me. I don't really give a crap about the 2.5% xp bonus.

Maybe PGI should just give a _real_ buff to keeping the omnipod set untouched, like a slight bonus to fire rates, or heat dissipation, or acceleration, torso twist, etc.

2.5% XP... the "free" version of the Champion XP bonus, except 4 times more useless.

At least Clanners get bonus XP. What about IS?

Champion variants (their stock loadouts are usually bad, but they can be customized to something decent).

Agreed, the XP bonus isn't even an incentive to keep the omnipods in a set. Something else needs to be put in its place to attract pilots to use the full set of omnipods for each mech. As stated before a C-Bill bonus could work, maybe a GXP bonus even?

I'd rather have a 10% C-bills bonus for Champions instead of XP. At least I can do something productive with that...

It is ridiculous.

Either implement something properly or don't bother.
