Why no more fluff? :P

Besides, does anyone know if this 'Mech is present in any TRO or was just made up by PGI?

CW

NOPE, just more cash grab mechs

CW part 1 is coming on the 19th, PGI needs to make this information as prominent on the front page of the website as they do with the sales.

It is on my firestarter because i can load 3ton of ammo, who are depleted before the sixth minutes end, and also load weapons. How is that gona work on that spider? Can't make an interesting loadout, i even tried zombie with srm, looks alright if you can live with slow speed and a semi-low finite ammo count.

Think ill try 2med pulse with srm6 and xl240 :/

Hardpoints almost make me want to try Spiders, but I'm not good enough at this game yet, I think.

Once again the art and mech design department carry monthly payroll with the Anansi great job staff.

Now when the devs announce a few new game modes and maps and a new chat/lobby system please wake me back up.

I'm liking the hardpoint combination here. It'll seriously struggle to use the hardpoints, but if it does use them all it'll be a rival to the Ember for certain.

I shall turn it...into an urban mech.

Instant buy, just because it has all 3 hardpoint types, might just completely replace my 5D spider.

Pay2 Avoid Sdr-5v. Sly move Pgi. no, srsly, I would totally have paid for this when i was leveling the Spiders.

I probably still will pay for it

2nd cheapest full price hero mech

Definitely a little mech, although I dunno if it's exactly too little, and also definitely a bit late. But whether it's too late, I'll leave that up to someone else. But this is one of the few I might actually spend for. I can wait a little more.

I wanted a hero spider a long long time ago. I'm not sure if I want it now. Maybe I'll grab it when it's on sale.

Unspectacular camo, but certainly better than the one from the Ember, since it seams you can at least change the color of the whole mech. Also relatively ageless camo, that will work with unit color schemes.

Not convinced of the hardpoint layout though. First of all, yes you can use every weapon type, which makes you a jack of all trades, which again doesn't work with lights in my opinion. 4 energy and 1 missile would have been better. Second of all, i don't understand the communities obsession with symetric loadouts. To run this properly you would need 4-5 weapon groups, unless you don't use all hardpoints or don't care if you blast 50% of your weaponry into a wall or friendly mech.

On the plus side, double AMS is nice, but costs you 3 tons and 4 slots.
Also plus: Most agile und JJ-able mech with missile hardpoint in game.

Since i've already mastered the 5D, i can wait for the 50% sale. And I'll only buy it, because i like Spiders, and like to support this game.

I was playing around in mechlab putting a LB10X and later trying a UAC5 on the Spider 5K (just to see the new weapon models)... anyway, got to tinkering with this one: XL200 (speed tweak gets it up to 118kph), armor 208/210 armor, endo-steel, 1 AC2 (2tons ammo), 1 ML, 2 MG (1ton ammo), DHS... no JJs. Now that we got a new flavorful Spider to toy with... I'm liking the possibilities this will present :P

Great little Hero, first Drop and instant 3 Kills in it. XL255 2JJ 2Mdlas 2MG/1ton ammo 1SRM4+Artemis/2 ton ammo.

Upgrades : Ferro/Endo/DHS/Artemis

You've got to decide if it shall be fast or has double AMS or got a good Punch. Because of the low max Tonnage you cannot have it all :)

As I already got the other Spiders I decided to load this Hero with good Firepower.
