I say it is not in our interest to be in the business of rewriting history. The tyrant rewrites history, the tyrant suppresses the journalist and the gossiper and the citizen. Revolution must be founded on the truth and only the truth, it is what gives the revolution power. We might strike the name of Liao from history, but the idea of the Liao would always remain in the hearts of the people. The revolutionary might preach the objective truth, but the citizen is not impervious to the touch of nostalgia, the longing for the glory days when the king was not so much a tyrant or bully or coward. I say let the name of Liao work for us, use the Liao as a tool to instill pride in the citizen on the street. 'You are a man now! You are Liao! Remember the great Liao's of history and know you can succeed!' A name without a tyrant behind it is just an idea.
