Does anyone else have this issue? When playing solo, Gauss charging sound is heard normally. I find that when playing with a group on Skype however I cant hear the sound. I have changed MWO sounds to lower voice and music and increase effects but still an inaudible sound. Possible solutions? Does TS have this problem?

Skype will automatically lower the other sounds on your computer. Try running skype first then run MWO? My guess is it's a sound setting in an application or Windows. If the gauss sound is the only one not working, then it must be a bug.

I have had problems with this as well, not with skype though. Only way i have figured around it is to set multiple groups with the GR so you have a couple green boxes to light up around your crosshairs when it is charged.

try going to 'hardware and sound' in windows. select sound, communications, then select 'do nothing' see if that helps.

Quoting this to make this stand out for the Sound/Communications Tab. This tab notes the settings will adjust the volume of different sounds when you are using your PC to place or receive telephone calls.

Settings
Mute all other sounds
Reduce volume by 80%, next line is 50%
The last line is do nothing.
