I've tried two different cards (both of which are completely valid) and I keep getting an error message saying "Your card has been rejected". Is anybody else getting this issue?

Nope, I hacked your accounts and you are in fact now broke.
j/k, no idea, but you'd be better off sending an email to support.

I had a problem when trying to buy a little bit of MC a while ago, IGP support got it sorted out since the problem was on their end.

Sometimes the country of issue can be a problem.
I went to the US in 2005; my VISA card was rejected everywhere except an actual bank or a 7-11 (go figure), as it wasn't issued in North America.
Was a royal pain trying to pay reprocessing fees for customs after making an error on my exit visa.

The payment protection is overly zealous. Payments in excess of some threshold, or a mismatch of card origin vs point of purchase, etc can set it off.
