People that are bringing LRMs are missing the boat.

Especially when they ARE the boat huh?
Anyways I like lurms, but have only one serious boat. One troll build. And my trusty lurmisher with good energy weapon backup, That can also do great as main weapons when the ECM comes a' callin!

Nothing like watching a lance of lobbers go under-100 damage because we had a few Kit Foxes or Ravens strolling with the heavies and mediums till they got up to facesmash range...and ruining them.
Especially KFX's. The ECM arm is pure missile hate with the triple AMS mount.
B33f makes it a hilarious lesson, but it's absolutely true, and multiple KFX will castrate even incoming IS LRM barrages between ECM hosing locks and the AMS firestorms cutting even big salvos down considerably.
When a mere like is not good enough.

Your LRM tears. They sustain me.

Hilarious a brit would be channeling the ghost of Sinatra, who himself with a narrow minded bigot. It's that narrow way of thinking that gets you intro trouble with intellectuals and praise from your military buddies Joseph.

I find that offensive. I happen to be a very well-educated person as well as a military buddy type. Basically what he's saying is true. Although it's also a bad way to set up an event. It encourages solo play over team play so everyone wants to rambo around to grab kills. I don't see how it encourages lurm play since lurms do lotsa damage but don't normally get lotsa kills, so players wanting those kills aren't taking lurms. Plus, if you group, have a teammate or two take ecm, you just solved the lrm problem cold. If you solo drop, take your own ecm mech if you think you're going to be seeing a lot of lrms. LRMs stopped cold once again.
you and i agree yet disagree.
event for kills = bad in team game
event for kills =/= bad because you might see more LRMs

At least that is always what I looked for when running a light. Follow the trail and get the easy kills. Just about as good as the lone atlas that everybody leaves behind.
Now you make me want to run my locust instead of my griffin.
Gods, have not done THAT in a while.

Actually like several of my posts they are after a series of matches in which I'm about to head off, have made observations about the current state of the game, and feel inclined to comment on them.
It's no surprise when those observations come to the conclusion something the "ministry of truth" goons wish not have exposed, that they come crawling out from under their rocks to protest and/or undermine the validity of said observations. In this instance I had just finished over half a dozen drops where 90% of the mechs involved with pure lurm boats. I even saw one pilot hilariously say there was so many TAGs on the screen it looked like a borg invasion at a star trek convention. Anyone with a pair of eyeballs and a brain will quickly realize how my observations directly relate to the game and these events that encourage kills/assists, with indirect e-z mode fire being the path of least resistance. Those of you who can't handle the truth feel free to stop posting, you won't be missed.

Ha ha you would think so, except the sheer amount is simply too overwhelming for lights to handle atm and their fragile legs can't handle all the spam. Once players finish their challenge objectives I'm sure we'll see some re-emerge and begin playing the role of boat hunters, but until then, bring your umbrella.

Only BAD light players. Decent light players rarely get hit by LRMs.

Damn, did I have fun with it. 2 LRM15+Art4 and 4 ML on an XL300 with 4 JJ FTW.
Oh, well. I'll run it a while longer later to try to get that score up. ... and honestly? I didn't bring it because it has LRMs. I brought it for the LULZ.

Focus fire on exposed or weakened targets doesn't happen nearly this much normally, and everyone is pressing R so as to find which of the foes are weakest.
It's like people lift their game when bribed to do so.

Only if NARC'd, which again boils down to being aware that there is a mech close enough to hit you with a slow moving NARC projectile and still requires you to not be under an ECM bubble of a friendly mech. Otherwise you shoot the spotter and/or get out of LoS of the enemy and the missiles won't hit you. Even on Caustic I will frequently jump out to get spotted and then duck into cover and dodge the rest of the flight path of the missiles to waste as many as I can from the enemy.
