Contests and tournaments are used by developers to collect balance-related data. So. The higher you will be in ladder in tournament - the lower you will be nerfed after it.

Are you insinuating that if there is an unfair advantage of a mech or weapon, that it should hidden, or denied, in order to exploit it against players for a longer period of time?

I think what he's saying is that a huge factor, such as individual player skill (or lack of it) or other factors outside of this games control, should not be ignored when making balancing decisions.

i think this is a good idea... nerf players instead of weapons..

Since using actualy gameplay data would not benefit actual balance understanding OP?
