Bring MWO to Steam!

So, if you bring it to Steam, please make sure it is still availbale in other ways.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Those "other ways" should be a stand alone installer.

I think Steam would be a great idea, I'm yet to Google the demands that it makes, but it's pretty good publicity. Was it DCOU that trippled their sub base and the like?
Steampowered games (games you can only play with Steam) are a little bit of a sore point with me though, varity is the spice of life! Pop it on Steam but let people install it stand alone too.

Steam takes % of every single cash shop purchase the player on steam makes, which means it basically takes a large portion of a cash shop's bread and butter. While steam is great for indi developers and box games it's actually a bad call for the MMO market to seek out Steam first. Most games that have lost a tons of subscribers within the first three to six months go to steam.

Steam has done nothing but have a positive impact for the likes of All Points Bulletin: Reloaded, and even introduced a payment processor I can trust. (Prior to Steam release, I had to buy my credit from those seedy advertising groups that offer "Free" credit in exchange for completing offers, then never actually paying up when you did.)
APB:R has it's own stand-alone client if you prefer not to use them. I use Steam a good portion of the time as-is, and having it tied to my SteamID would even be a better convenience as well.

Yeah, Steam and Origin can go play in a Atlas's reactor together.
There are plenty of ways a game like MWO can get advertisement and exposure without lowering themselves to those type of services.
