I just wish inventory would show "equipped". "where the hell did I put that XL 360!" or my Radar dep... nope I have to go through each mech.

Or that things like Testing Grounds was just a button that persisted on each window, like Play Now. They need to watch some players, new and experienced alike and see what the workflow and UI/UX patterns really are, and then tweak to match those workflows.

They don't want swapping parts to be easy because they want you to just spend all your c-bills.

There are two reasons to leave the mech lab, to drop in the training grounds, and to use the pilot skills.

If the mech lab had button right next to configure that said "mech skills" it would be great. That way I could jump right to the skill tree for the mech I am using instead of backing out of the lab, opening the skill tab, and hunting down my mech in the skill lists.

If the training grounds button was put at the bottom of the match mode selection menu I would be happy. Then I would just have to hit my match drop down menu and hit training grounds, instead of backing out of the lab by hitting the hope tab.

That is the only reason I exit the mech lab, other than dropping in a match or opening the social menu when in a group or managing friends list.

First I even noticed there was a select mech option in the home tab. Only ever used it for the inventory and training ground.

Um, yeah this. You can select mechs from the Home tab? Who knew? Not this guy...

EDIT: I know why - it's broken. Home tab you can't select Mechs with invalid configs.

If I'm missing something let me know but currently I never, ever touch the Home tab to select mechs or pretty much for anything else. The Mechlab tab is now my home screen as it allows me easy access to all my mechs for drops. Just click on the mech and hit Play Now.

Dunno why this is not part of the Home tab. Badly designed UI perhaps?

Habit... X years using ui1 will do that to you

My girlfriends started an account the other day and when she was in the Home tab she opened the "select mech" section. It boggled my mind for a moment as I hadn't clicked on it since the very first time I saw it. :)

NICE WORK OP!!

Now PGI knows and will try to "fix" it resulting in a rip in space time and the destruction of the universe.

Thanks, you just killed everybody.

You mean that screen I click away from to get to the good screen (mech-lab) is the home screen? Huh, I thought that is was all part of the 1000 clicks of death theme the UI has.
