Aaaaaaand this marks the first time I have ever seen anyone recommend a Treb over any other mech. Congrats on your historic first!

When a pilot says "I don't like Trebbies", it's only because he doesn't use them in the right way.

Back on topic, it seems to me too that Trebs have better config than Vindy, except as small harasser (VND 1AA seems strong in this)

Is there some kind of reward, maybe some cake?

I don't really recommend the Treb. It was the only medium mech off the top of my head that was an exact upgrade of what Bishop intended to do with the Vindicator. It's like if someone wanted to use the Vindicator as a fast medium laser boat without jump jets, I would point them to the CDA-2A, which does that job a lot better. My only worry was whether the Vindicator was too small for my example to apply, but that doesn't really seem to be the case. They look roughly equal in size.

I don't even run medium mechs with a single LRM launcher in these days where there's almost 10 different mechs out there with dual or triple AMS. At least not in the solo queue.

and yet my most successful Medium runs a single lrm15. (and 2 SSRM2). So it is what it is. Though Cutefoxes do tend to be a pain.

Interesting. I do see people who do well with single LRM-launchers. I will put it to the test when the Summoner is available for C-bills <_<

Summoner is a little bit of a challenge, as it's support weapons are limited, but yeah, 2 of mine pack lrm15s, too. Just not happy with current er ppc, yet not too happy with the lack of immediate punch in the LPL I replaced em with, either. The LB-X/MPulse Lasers are a bit better.

I was having a tough time with summoners until I did this build. And with the omnipod setup, I have this build on all my Summoners.....

Yeah. Not a huge fan of 20s. But big thing for me, is I refuse to run the same build on multiple mechs.

Still not sure what i wonna do with it, and if i wonna do anything with it at all, but one thing is certain. If I start playing this mech, i need at least one version with a TAG in the head. Laser Optics FTW. Maybe something like this: VND-1AA or VND-1AA. Idk.

This will probably be my go-to Vindi VND-1AA.

I'm thinking something along these lines. VND-1AA

Little nervous about having so much of the firepower in arms with 28 armor, but there is not much to be done about it.

I'm only gonna keep my prime once Mastered so it's all the same to me....

I like having the PPC by itself so I can use it as a shield arm during closer combat.

Yeah, that could swap, but I believe the overall build, is a little more refined. I like the Mediums split, so if I lose on arm, I don't lose that much more anti-light firepower, where the PPC is often useless.

I'm not sure what to make of the 1X, outside of even trying 3 MGs on it. This is the biggest disappoint IMO.

The others, you can make some stuff out of it, but that is to be seen.

ooo you poor :) werent you able to fit 3 Ac2 with 5 tons ammo and xl 235 + 1 Jj in ya 1x? Omy, so many wasted 1x builds on this thread.

I dunno, maybe ERLL + UAC/5 + 2 MGs + ML?

VND-1X

Or, if you want to go full potato:

VND-1X

It seemed like the best I could come up with, other than the "Full Potato" 2 AC/2 + 2 ML variant (which is done better by a BJ for obvious reasons).

This is another one of those variants where I wish we had Binary Laser Cannons, because it would give you almost the efficiency of 2 Large Lasers for only 1 hardpoint (assuming Paul doesn't just mindlessly copy the TT stats of the gun without any buffs to it). Sort of like the Shad 2H...
