Just like your response.

My thread. If you are not going to be constructive to the point of the OP, piss off. That easier to get the gist of?

What I was using when I dropped with you earlier Bishop, seems to suit me to a T. Pretty heat efficient too, thanks to the mech's quirks. It's a great light hunter and excellent harasser.

Small head laser IS necessary. Because.

have you tried it with ARM4 for better grouping and RoF/Ammo dependency?

No, but I'll give it a go. Grouping is the main issue I've been having... Will return after some test games.

After a number of test games, yes. The extra accuracy was far more useful than the extra 4 missiles. Getting more kills with the SRMs as well as the LLs now. Cheers Bishop.

Not buying the hero, or any of them really, but if I did buy the hero, this is the first build I'd attempt to use in it. ST. IVES' BLUES

Yes, looked at St. Ives, but no thanks. Hero mechs are as good or better than the rest or don't bother. They don't need to be P2W, but they do need to be pay for something.

i haven't been able to play but the builds I did were

on the Hero
2LL, 2ML, 2 SRM6, 245XL, DHA, ENDO, 4 tons ammo.

I really want to try 2 LPLs with SRM4s.

You are paying for the extra C-bill and XP gather rates and module slots when you buy a Hero.

Cbills. Modules sometimes happen but not usually.

It's slightly faster than 2 of the other 3 variants. It has 2 missile launchers, 1 with 20 tubes and 1 with 10. (6 hardpoints. 2 M, 3 E, 1 AMS) 250 engine limit. It also has -5% heat generation on energy and -5% heat generation on missiles.

1AA is the fastest, with 2 AMS. (6 total hardpoints. 2 AMS, 3 E, 1 M) 295 engine limit.
1R has the most energy hardpoints. (7 hardpoints. 5 E, 1 AMS, 1 M) 235 engine limit.
1X has ballistic hardpoints. (7 hardpoints. 2 E, 3 B, 1 M, 1 AMS) 235 engine limit.

The best I could get with decent speed. weapons etc.

But honestly, I can do 2x PPC on a firestarter and be half the size... why even bother.

This mech isn't for me, as I have all the medium mech I need from Shadowhawk, Nova & Stormcrow but...

I'd probably do this with it:

Hmm, maybe only the C-Bill variants? Does the Golden Boy still have bay doors?

So far my best vindi build is

x1 Er large
x2 mediums
x2 ASRM6 x2.5 tons of ammo
x4 jumpers
x11 DHS

You simply need the firepower of the twin SRM6 to get any worthwhile punch. Though i am not a fan of artemis this is a build to use it on.

Unless it's considerably smaller than the Treb, I'm not sure I see the point.

The Treb would be faster, have more armour, have all lasers mounted on the arms. Just seems superior overall.

Aaaaaaand this marks the first time I have ever seen anyone recommend a Treb over any other mech. Congrats on your historic first!

I would say that the "bucket" is a better Lurm mech than the Hunchback or Centurion to some degree. The dynamic hardpoints has actually increased their effectiveness to an extent... but that's just to the extent of the 50 tonners...

So.... Vindi Hero looks...underwhelming for IRL money, but all 4 variants are up for evaluation and building.
