Not too bad, then. A little taller, but skinnier legs.

Ok, so the Vindicator looks ugly, is significantly larger than a Blackjack, has some of the worst hardpoints ever, and on top of that, it can't even go over 100kph on 3/4 of its variants.

Are we looking at the same pictures? How is it significantly larger than the Blackjack? It's slightly taller, but slightly slimmer.

Well, good thing you don't speak for the rest of us and your whiny complaint is going to fade into the depths of time, never to be thought of again. Your comment is incredibly self-entitled.

What part? If anything, it looks thinner overall. Maybe its CT is slightly wider, but its side torsos are definitely smaller,

mech lab is probbably the most accurate. the mechs are centered the exact same, with the same point of reference.

when in game screenshots are taken is when there can be perspective problems, centring problems not the same distence away from the camera, different level(slope) that the 2 mechs are standing on etc etc.

Maybe it is just me, but it looks way too shiny and new (like a clan mech :(). It should look worn and beat up like the other IS mechs. Maybe just the hero looks all new and shiny.

BTW, I think it looks like something that escaped Aperature Laboratories. Maybe GLaDos's boyfriend :P

very smilar to how they did the keresnky's orion as well.

i mean i dont mind the fresh out the factory or the display model look. but it would def be odd to see one like this in a real BT battlefield.

More like those plastic Gundam mechs I used to buy as a kid.

So it's not quite 55 ton mech size, but still a tad bigger than it really needs to be. The bigger issues, however, are hardpoints and no immediately apparent situational advantages over a Griffin or Shadow Hawk.

I saw a couple in game tonight, it doesn't seem too large to me and I think they look pretty cool. I will probably get these before the Nova.

its alright ig uess. but honest i wouldnt mindi fmore 55 tonners were about the current vindicator's size. and the vindicator was just a tiny bit smaller.

just so u know the vindicator is the same size as the griffin; a 55ton medium mech i consider to be sized pretty well.

The mech being so fragile with that engine size limitation is killing it for me.

I bought one and I would love it if the thing had better hit boxes. Being as slow as it is, this mech should be able to go toe to toe with small and medium mechs and brawl. It can't do that because it is MUCH too fragile. Especially the arms. I'm sure glad I put a standard 250 in mine, because I am getting torn apart much too quickly. I could deal with being so fragile if I could run a larger XL engine like a 280 or 300 and use speed to keep from getting hit as much.

I loaded mine up with 3 medium lasers and 2 SRM 6s. The best I can do with the thing is stay with the larger brawling mechs and hope everyone shoots them instead of me, while I do my damage. When I first got it, I tried chasing down lone lights and other small mediums. Even with the loadout I had, most of them would tear me up 1v1. I was taking more damage than I should have been!

I really hope they do a quick hitbox size adjustment to the new hero Vindicator and make it more durable!

On the left...
Bishop's non-deputy-dawg Vindicator.
On the right... A Timber Wolf.

And yes I know the aliasing is bad, I run with the AA off because it's stupidly overtaxing for almost identical quality.

Also... Matthew Craig, I still have motion blur / image ghosting. O.o;

It's the hero btw. 2k texture.
All the regular ones have a lousy looking 1k texture (they're in the game files; no sign of the missile door).

It's taller than a Blackjack. Your shot reflects what I found just by comparing them in the mechlab.

It's just shorter than a 55 ton Wolverine (the shortest 55 ton mech), just taller than a Hunchback. Same size as the Dragon (comparing heads not shoulders), and shorter than the Awesome (comparing heads).

Standard TW variants (not the prime Invasion version with the special skin) have 2k textures. Prime has 1k.

Both have 2k specular maps (making the shinies shiny).

Edit: To clarify by Prime I mean the Prime (I) which has unique geometry (3D shapes) and pattern.
