Battletech Fans - You Know The Coolest Part About The New Map

Remember the episode where Adam Steiner is fighting Ciro Ramirez in some old refinery? They're trying to outmaneuver each other among the buildings and then they start blasting, but an explosion starts a chain reaction that destroys the refinery.
I think there was another episode where Adam Steiner was fighting Franklin Sakamoto, and they were circling each other in a similar refinery, on passive radar, trying to get into position. Don't remember what episode that was, or if I've got that wrong.
Anyway, finally we can relive the Battletech cartoon fantasy. I'm really looking forward to challenging clanners for a trial of possession in my AWS assault mech, on this new map.
Now if we could just have some destructible terrain, maybe with some chain reactions...

"Why are we even fighting over this factory? It makes awesomes. You can have it."
To the op, yes, it would be great if the added explodable tanks and stuff.

So, Wonder if the Powers That Be realize that if this is an Awesome Factory...only one realm it can be (FWL) and one of 2 Planets, Irian or Savannah. Neither are ANYWHERE near the FRR borders for CW.
Just sayin.

"Why do we still have this Awesome here? Almost everything else has sold!"
"Well, sir, we didn't have a docking clamp big enough to fit around it's waist."
"Well, tech, there is clearly a clamp there"
"yes, sir - we had to take two clamps from the Victor line, and weld them together. Now we can't get it apart."

Hey PGI, why not include a location where you can stand shut down amongst other mechs and can blend in, so then you can power up and surprise people. Wasted opportunity.
Like this. After the 1 min mark.

Hell yeah, I'm serious. I just wish we had the Axman. I'm basically just counting down the days untill we have everything from the Battletech series.
We have:
Awesome, Mad Cat, Summoner, and refinery
We need:
Bushwacker, Axman, Mauler, Wolfhound, Loki and enhanced imaging.

Details Bishop, just silly little details... We can't expect PGI to understand the implications of this.

Am I the only one that noticed the poor little firestarter has a friend that looks like he is about to alpha?
That "friend" is a non-moving enemy target in the Testing Grounds. It's not going to be shooting anyone and that's why he's not worried about it.

BAHAHAHA!
It's almost as if you thought anyone at PGI would bother to research that.

Yep, that's roughly how much PGI generally cares about actual BattleTech lore in their "BattleTech game".
Still, if you want to be generous, those Awesomes are just in for Class E or F refits.
(I almost cried typing that, wishing anyone at PGI would be even remotely familiar with what I'm talking about).

It's not surprising at all, it's the same way they've operated since day 1. These maps aren't supposed to represent generic locations around the galaxy, as you would expect. This isn't just "Forest 1" and "Desert 2". These are actual, specific locations in the Battletech universe.
Forest colony is a specific planet, ruled by Duke Boris Jarvic. It orbits a G0V star and has 2 moons, called Eagleshore and Eaglesea.
Would it make a lot more sense if every map represented one of countless forests, cities, deserts or tundras around the galaxy? Yes. Does PGI worry about stuff like that? Not at all.

With the number of maps we have....these will be the most traded planets in Battletech History....................
