You guys are a bunch of whiny kids! Grow up. Or go ***** about something more productive here is a list for you:
Clan wars still not out
No ELI support
Clan mechs OP compared to majority of IS mechs *think this is how they want it though with clan wars and 10 v 12 maybe?
Weapon mods will either be a requirement grind XP and C-bills with no heat or suck with heat
Dsync issues out the ying yang
server still sucks
hit boxes on maps are a joke with the terrain
etc.. lots more productive things to ***** about!

Kids they are giving you free stuff for just playing the game. 50 is high but considering 6.5 C-bills cost you 4,000 MC = $20 real dollars it should be. If you cant win 20 games in 3 Fing days you need to reevaluate your play-style and tactics and quit blaming others.
Watch some of the pro players streams. Check different builds on smurfy and mecspecs.com. ask for help in game. Join a group/Faction. don't rage QQ on here. Or do, i don't care that much just trying to help and or not have to listen to as many babies...

Bite me goof ball.

Well, everytime I turn around, someone is suiciding.
I even reported one of them.
The pugs who are not suiciding are charging like kills and Asst's are what they need for the challenge.
Slow machines are left behind, the team gets split, gets flanked and are shot to ribbons.
I'm unsure why I am dropping with 4-6 players who have trouble breaking 100 damage.

I don't like this weekend challenge at all.

The people posting here generally aren't the problem. It's the garbage ass pugs they get shafted with carrying.

I think with the promoting, new challenges are when new players come into the game in mass. That could be why the solo que is more noobish than usual

YOU DON'T HAVE TO PLAY IF YOU HAVE OTHER THINGS TO DO. YOU DON'T HAVE TO PLAY IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE REQUIREMENTS.
you all are crying cause you feel its unfair that those that don't mind or do have the time will get the rewards and you wont. :'(
I agree lets give feedback on the things that need improvement, not free challenges that you don't have to do.

Maybe even get rid of the win/loss boni at all as jumping into a PUG equals to flipping a coin.

My coin appears to be broken.. It flips heads about 56% of the time.
Despite almost exclusively PUG'ing, it seems I actually do have some influence on the outcome..

Well...frequent suicide runners or bad newbies are a big problem for solo drop challenge like this. Until they add VoIP and/or quick command wheel feature, we just have to bite through the bad-and-chaotic PUGs...
Almost done for the 2nd challenge, and while i'm glad this isn't kill-based challenge, i have no intention to reach 50 wins at all from the start... :D

With my luck, I'll have to run 5 solo PUG matches for every 1 victory. I'm sorry but I can't sit through 250 matches just for some cbills. I can't even do 50 matches just for a mechbay.

wow...it's like a vicious circle:

PGI gives kill-based challenges > encouraging KDR inflation, overcommitted killing with no regards to teamwork > people want team-based challenges > PGI gives win-based challenges > encouraging teamwork on pug, some people start to do suicide running with hope their "abandoned" team still win after they died > people want a challenge where only their personal contribution can affect it > PGI gives kill-based challenges

i bet if PGI gives win-based challenges not only for solo but also for group queue, people who fed up by bad newbies will try to at least form a group to clear these challenges and people who can still chew through these bad newbies will have no problem....win-win situation, no?

or, is there any reason why doesn't PGI give challenges for group queue?

Played for 8 hours off and on, so about 6 hours of actual sitting in front of the computer inside MWO modding, queuing, and playing. My record after 90 minutes was 2-7. My record in total is now 17-14. There were streaks of losses, but there were streaks of wins as well.

The most fun I had was sync dropping with my fellow (Praetorian) Legionnaires. We usually had half of us in the same game, so it made the games more enjoyable as we could chat with each other even if some of us lost. It also pushed us to perform better if we were on opposite sides as we looked to hunt each other down (had some of my best games this way).

I'll probably stop at 20 wins as the 7 days of premium time will result in close to 5 million CB with a few hours play each night on hero/founder/invasion mechs.

For those that are getting overly frustrated with the MM, do a cost-benefit analysis with your time. If you have a job, would you make enough at your job over the time you feel you'll commit to this challenge to purchase the MC to get 7, or even 30, days of premium time? It's the main reason I'll be stopping at 20. I'd rather pay $30 to buy the MC to use on 2 months of premium time plus a little extra MC left over (come on reduced MechXP->GXP exchange rate) than spend what free time I have this weekend to try to get to 50 wins.

PGI: I like this challenge! Good job!

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate challenges and free stuff etc. People blame matchmaker. Well, they always blame it, but anyway 1 win to 4 defeats is not fun, especially when you make top damage every game.

I know, it sounds like stupid whine, but the problem really exists.

Since we don't have in game comms, I think it is stupid to make it a solo challenge then have the goal be wins. Kills are much easier to get without winning the PUG lottery. I hate that my progress is dependent on the PUG lottery, it makes the contest frustrating.

Short version
Solo Challenge: Kills
Team Challenge: Wins

I suppose I should be thankful this is wins, not kills, based.

However, the number of wins could be considered....excessive.
Assuming a 50/50 win percentage(Elo/MM perfection), it could be 100(!) matches to get all 3 rewards. At 10 minutes per match that is 16-17hours(!) of play time. That seems a bit....much to do over 4 days. Even to get the mech bay could average 1.5-2hrs of play time.

Still, wins does beat kills.

I disagree that wins>kills. These are individual rewards and therefore should be based on individual effort. I have been playing for 4hrs today and despite regularly getting 400+ dmg and 2-3 kills I have been on the losing team on all but 2 matches. I'm beginning to feel like this challenge is impossible because of my bad luck with the teams I'm on. I'm not trying to QQ, but raise awareness of the problem of having rewards based on things outside of your control.

If it takes you 95 hours to bag 50 wins you are either really terrible at this game or simply not trying. I`ve been playing for and hour and I already have 5 wins... should take me about 10 hours of play time, no big deal.

Or more realistically, you have gotten lucky with the team mate lotto.
