As long a Teams can do the Challenges than I will do them if I have drop solo to do it than I will not be playing. I don't PUG SOLO Drop EVER. Why did I stop Pugging because If I didn't PGI would have many Less Players and the Morgues would have many more customers to deal with.

Did my 50 over past two days. Towards the end it became agonizingly frustrating.

Really, theese contests doesn't encourage any teamplay at all. What they do, however,
is - encouraging people find ways to game the system to farm,
and screw up everyone on their PuG team.

I wish they could do an assist-centric contest.

Yea, I'm kind of in a similar mood right now.

But if you are solo dropping and facing a few people on groups, the task of winning is usually harder

FlipOver,

You're misinformed. There are NO solo players in the groups queue. Conversely, there are NO groups sneaking into the solo queue.

If you play solo, you play with 11 other solo players.

If you play in a group, you play with other groups.

As such, this challenge should have been open to groups. Unless, as I stated in a previous post, PGI have some specific reason (stats collection, solo queue/MM testing) for forcing us to play in the solo queue for the challenge.

Mkay. Got my mechbay. I'm done til the challenge is over.

Most noteworthy scores.

LRM Battlemaster with TAG, 2 ML and 1 MPL. Huge, 3 prong ambush by enemy team. Commander on our team, good communication. Spotter and Commander both barely got anything for it. I spent most of my time standing in one spot lobbing missiles in all 3 directions in almost complete safety (I got hit by 2 PPCs fired at once. Big whoop.)

LRM Warhawk with 3 ER ML and 2 LPL. Here, I almost no support. Had to hunt for my prey. Took on 3 Atlases head on (not bright ones either, the last one was a D-DC who charged right at me with a PPC and never torso twisted to spread damage. The first one, a Founder's Atlas, was the most dangerous and I dissected him. Twin shotguns first, SRMs second, and he still had CT lasers when I got him). My teammates were reasonably helpful but nothing was organized and apparently I had no targeting signature on myself, so some allies treated me like an ECM enemy!

In the end, I pulled through by the skin of my teeth and not a bit of damage to the rear torso (despite having only 2 armor on each rear torso). Front torsos were pretty screwed though.

Only real difference is the number of kills and as the Inner Sphere I had to do nothing but stand still while I had to work my rear end off as the Clan.

I hate the IFF bug. Alpha'ed a Kit Fox on my team who had no IFF sign. :/ No TK's from it, but it didn't help the team at all.

Got the bay and premium time. Think I am gonna leave off until this is over now. Too many people who obviously do not play often or are just farming is doing harm to my stats. This is beyond frustrating was almost 54 wins ahead and am now about 30. And my KDR is down by 2 hundredths.

While my stats are still on the positive for both. Cannot wait for this to end.

Now that group's are separated into group queue's it doesn't even make sense that this is solo only. This is going to be the most boring 50 win's I have ever played through.

Would have been nice if the premium time hadn't automatically activated. I would have liked to have been able to choose when to use it, rather than have the game assume I want it running right now.

I think this challenge has shown us one thing, how deeply flawed the Match Maker is, it doesn't match make at all, it match fixes (recently it blatantly stacks one team to ensure a desired result).
Take heed PGI, this current trend of p!ss poor, one sided, stacked games is gonna have very negative results for what little is left of your player base.

My challenge is done, but since dropping after completing the challenge its back to being put to babysit players who could only dream of getting more that 100 damage and not dying in the first 2 minutes.
Something is very off and fishy about the MM.

Any chance on an event for teams? While these events are exciting and everything, the solo pugging experience leaves much to be desired. Pugs, by default, lack the coordination and intelligence needed to stick together and fight. As a result, it's nearly impossible to achieve the number of victories required.

For me Friday was great but short lived (work the night shifts). Saturday was downright unplayable, first time I've ever rage-quit. Up to 6 allies with no signatures, plus enemy teams LOADED with ECM and LRM boats and what few ECM mechs we have aren't helping out with anti-LRM duties. After my 7th teamkill I gave up (2 ECM Kitfoxes, one is an enemy, one is an ally, both look identical... Neither of them have signatures and they are too far away to pick up the one as a low signal.)

Today, I forgot I launched and the team literally steam-rolled the enemy. So it seems playable again. :) ELO wants me to win today.

Yeah, I killed 3 team members yesterday which is 3x as many as I have had all together since I started in closed beta. Add in all the bad behavior from players either gaming the event or just plain screwing with people and you have a really frustrating event. I only hope they come up with a better system for next week because I don't think I can take many more like this one.

Getting 3 - 4 wins an hour, but having to carry my team in about 80% of those wins to have a chance. Wish I had more time to work on this, but unfortunately my group had 2 RHOD matches during this weekend event, sucking up a big chunk of my play time

Yeah, this bug has been around for far too long, at least it is only one or two mechs missing their arrow, instead of the whole team now. You can still see if they are friendly on the minimap, but that is hard to keep an eye on in a firefight. I personally think that this bug is linked to server lag, since it seems to happen in games that end up desyncing, or that have allot of rubber banding and warping.

I have enjoyed this Challenge so far. 43 wins and 7 to go. Playing mostly Kit Fox, Adder, and Storm Crow. I lack the skill yet for direct-fire weapons. However I put on as many Lerms as I can and blast away. Many of you were probably laughing your ass off when you cut me down at short range as I try to hit you with my defense lasers. Meh, you have the skill to do so. So I will keep Lerming. PGI is making the game playable for both skilled people and no so skilled people.

If you are the kind that can plunk a few AC or Gauss rounds into a 'mech and kill it, great. If you can do so and yet die to Lerms once in awhile, also great. Being highly skilled and yet dying to Lerm newbs means the game is balanced.

Lol, so the guy who spent 500+ hours practicing range weapons and being able to Ct you at 800m with PPC should lose to the guy, with <100 hours in a LRM mech, who just points and clicks?

That's balanced?

Actually, balance would be the PPC guy dominating the lrm boat because he has higher skill, and he should be rewarded for that.

You have the pub/casual mentality/philosophy that turns once great competitive games (CoD, Battlefield), into diluted, drone, mouth dripping IQ disintegraters.

Haha, no. I was not clear, or you misunderstand. I die more often than not. Yes, and very recently someone tore me apart with two shots in my SCR from a good distance. Props to him. However occasionally, as you can see by watching streams. Even the mighty sometimes get their asses handed to them when their team drops the ball. Usually dying to Lerm spam. Yes this is balanced and good. Champion players can really make a so-so team great. Then sometimes when a crappy team of Lermers is lucky they are able to beat that champion.

In no way am I saying Lerms beats skill in this game. Again, just watch the streams on twitch. Lerms are easily countered, as is shown by my kill/death win/loss record. But occasionally I get lucky.
