I know what you mean, Kjudoon. I finally set the game mode to Assault and just started doing base rushes in my spider 5D with speed cap.

I brought out 'crutches' and am just vulturing what I can. Let someone else be the Assault backbone for a while.

played for 5 hours and got the 20. If only I'd heard of this sooner, I could've had time to get all 50.

got my fiddy last night

spendin' and earnin

LIKE. A. BOSS

thanks!

p.s. I am now hitting the pugs doing my BEST to help my team win. Full sacrifice, running ECM, dropping arty and shootin UAV's to the sky.
Funny thing, now that I'm not frantic to win, my team wins ratio has skyrocketed........science? magnets? aliens? or teamwork?

I got my fifty wins last night too... exhausted in the end, and actually glad it was over. Playing strictly to win with others playing strictly to win was a grind. I am glad it is done, and need a break now.
Interesting factoid... I earned 7.5m cbills on the way to my 50 victories, on top of the 6.5 million reward.

So, what are you all doing with the cbills?

I earned about the same, I reckon my loot, plus the last couple of free Mech bays will go towards some Cbill Vindicator action...

My friend is in the home stretch with an hour thirty to go. I bet he wishes they extended it another hour!

Not too happy that the premium time starts automatically. I only logged in to see if it was delivered.

I have won 2 of the last 38 rounds. Before that, until 40 wins or so, it was a flat 1:1. It's now putting me on teams with 5-6 trial mechs against teams with multiple clan heavies/assaults, and it's doing this consistently.

While this was an awesome event, I didn't have time to participate ;)

not blaming anyone for that lol, but it would've been pretty cool if it lasted longer.

Buy a 3rd kit fox and a weapon module. Now that they took out the heat I can get some use out of an extra few meters out of an SRM.

I did just break the losing streak of 30, but it's painfully obvious that I'm not going to get the last 4 wins I need in time.

It doesn't matter how well I play. The result has been the same for the past six or seven hours.

edit: I just got two wins in a row. I'm now 48/50 and the event is over. Sigh.

Good job PGI on making a challenge that has nothing to do with teamwork or skill... and has everything to do with luck.
Calling this a challenge is like saying the lottery is a challenge. Well maybe it is, a challenge to intellect.

Just did a few rounds, and all I saw were disconnects (mostly on my side). At least with the other challenges it depended on you to do something and a little luck coming from no-one else taking your kill.

How was this event promoting teamwork? Pugs were never so bad at working together. I wasn't even able to win 10 freaking rounds for a mechbay in a few hours. 50/50 win/loss is what I normally see, now it was just loss after loss. Maybe because everyone was using Clanmechs and I was using IS mechs?

Puuh finished it as well and although sometimes frustrating it was a lot of fun and fair to do, and earned alot of cash while doing it.

I managed to complete it with some of the best PUG teams you can ask for... totally saw a new level of tactics and game play by these individuals. You know who you are and I o7 you all mechwarriors. Thank you.

The real problem is people not wanting to play as a team and avoiding coordination, it's like: it's my game i do what i want, if im able i will win, if not, who care.

I had similar experiences in an other game Red Orchestra 2, almost all of us were playing as a team following orders and so, but there were 3-5 guys who told us, we are not following your orders we play as we want. They were the ones who died the most.

People should learn to play as a team, not as headless chickens runing through the field.

But amazingly some of them or after sometime started to play as a team, so, on long term, all the suffering may help to better coordination
