Not too long ago (around 30-40 minutes ago, I posted this in the "Short Question and Short Answer" thread: (if I do not get the link to work to that particular post, please just go to page 229 of said thread where I posted it, because I am not sure it is allowed to post the same post in a different sub-category.

Anyway, to make it short, we can see the 'Mechs we own in our own profiles, but why cannot see the 'Mechs owned by other players when we visit their profile? I understand the security risk and that a lot of people might not like to show the 'Mechs that they own to just anyone, but what about adding a feature where you can allow people on your friends' list to be able to view the 'Mechs that you own? Since it is just the 'Mechs, and does not give away any information about weapon load-out or armour or anything or the like, I always thought that would be a good idea to implement, since a lot of people have trouble deciding what 'Mechs to buy and use and what are best when in drops (solo and CW Events) and I believe that if you could see the 'Mechs of your friends or those willing to show their 'Mechs, it would be great to stop the forums being flooded with questions like "is the Spider/ Cicada/Raven/ Hellbringer / TimberWolf / DireWolf" etc any good on the battlefield or useless, when you could just PM the person with the 'Mechs that you are interested in buying and using and ask them how well they perform during drops in the game, if they are worthwhile to get or just plain bad to use (and thus save a lot of people C-Bills in buying them, only to find out they are bad at using said 'Mech themselves).
I jjst think it would be a handy feature to put in, and also help a lot of newly joined recruits/cadets to the game get to know the feel for which 'Mech might best suit their style of play to start with.
