being cynical is easy. you don't have to actually do anything, just down play everything someones else does.

Being cynical about MWO is even easier, just mention what PGI has done? >.>

I just dont believe we are finally in motion for CW yet, people are still talking about years ago. People saying it is not good enough, even though it is just the first phase; Of course it is just a map and association. Fining a way to be Cynical no matter what. GG pgi, doesnt matter what you do, they will play it but they wont like it.

Now they are bothered because its not good enough, but the problem is it is not even finished yet, and already the doom judgement has been cast.

Feels like I am back in December.

Why is PGI working on CW and new maps while we have loads of things broken in-game

What about the missing friendly markers? What about the LRM issue hitting the ground instead of the target? What about the consistent matchmaking problems? What about PGI like to pump MC mechs out while fixes on current battlemechs or broken assets on maps are open? What about the desyncing, lag and banding issues? What about applied balance fixes which are just laughable? What about old bugs?

Look i respect your opinion. But PGI's cycle is so wrong. They need to change their cycle.

It feels i am getting ripped wich each patch they want to make money. A few fixes but a new shiny mech for MC!

Game did change, some things good but a awfull lot not. But please do not be surprised of CW hits another paywall soon.

They are not going to delay CW in any way, even if it is for major fixes. They probably are working on them but CW is priority. The community made that clear. People made that clear, players made that clear, the 90 days and lie addendum made that clear. They are pressed for time and keeping to their plan, which i commend them for doing. After CW kicks off they will have plenty of time to iron things out. I for one do not wish for them to stall.

With that being said, it is possible to get these problems out the way,on the road to completing CW. Not opinion as i am going off of fact. Money is obviously important, we cant play if they don't get paid. Besides that you make some good points and I am sure they are being fixed, some are subjective as people actually like some of those MC mechs, and if they want to spend their money on them so be it. If nobody bought hero's PGI would not bother to make them. Also it is new chassis to the game which i don't mind. The more mechs the merrier.

Just played a whole ton of games with my Clan last night and we didn't experience problems. We actually rolled teams left and right and losses were minimal. As for the Lag, this issue is recent and we have not had it all year so don't act like it is a constant problem. Unless certain situations are in play.
Of course that is probably why they are having maintenance being done tomorrow. I had not many problems with the MM, only during the Solo challenge was it a nightmare. Also the MM is not perfect and prone to problems. Also stating what is wrong with it helps in a deduction.

I played that board game. It took an hour just to set up, but it was fun.

You can find it as a free Vassal module (and the rules elsewhere). The scenarios are pre-setup.

I checked it out nostalgically recently (The Succession Wars as a boardgames was mediocre at best IMO...Dune for example, was head & shoulders a better game). Good memories of boardgames though, a dieing hobby sadly.

Feel sure that the original post must have been tongue in cheek because very obviously:- a boardgame from 1992 although about similar subject, is not in any way similar to implementing CW into MWO.

2ndly (and also very obviously), this is not the first day of Community Warfare. Its just the first phase.

Seems like CW has been raging in these forums though for years.....

I honestly think the unit tag adds a lot to the group queue already. I always wondered about group sizes and which people were dropping together... now I can see. :)

Huzzah for basic functionality that is launch-day standard for every other online game. This is PGI digging out of the hole, not advancing the game.

I eagerly await the opportunity to be impressed when CW is more than a glorified friends list.

:) Yes

maybe that was PGI's secret plan !. CW would be fought out on the forums...and they certainly appear to have delivered that in good time.

Hey, Sandpit, remember when he was convinced that removing heat from weapon mods was the same as removing ghost heat?

Possibly but this has been a 2 year delay thus far, and counting

After being in Planetary BTU=(BattleTechUnivers)-(MW2-MW3)-(MPBT3025 Planetary)-(MW3-MW4)-NBT(NetBattleTech Planetary)-(MW4)-(MWL MechWarrior League Planetary- Solaris MW4) MWO just seems childish and so simplistic its on the same level as playing pong.

And anyone who never played these complex Solaris and Planetary leagues can not even imagine the fun game play solo or in groups. I could see PGI doing planetary if they had built a complex Multiplayer setup like PC MechWarrior was but MWO is not it is way to shallow of a MM setup and game to do it right.

Plus PGI is not EA or Microsoft Studios with endless resources and talent PGI should let the community help build leagues and help with the burden of maps ETC.I would like to play MechWarrior again in a true league not some shallow attempt to keep a game going that has no future and just is a cash grab for as long as it lasts.

Well, after two years of developing it, you would think the bells would be more shiny and the whistles would work.

And if this were not a F2P title, anyone not lucky enough to get into the "beta" would likely be getting news that the "Gold Master" had just been finalized and was prepping for the "Box Store" or be available next week for Digital download.

But alas, it is a F2P Title and we all got let in way to soon given how impatient everyone seems to be.

But if blame needs to be had, then I read we should all blame the Intern who broke PGI's Magic Wand of "Make-It All and make it Now!" A replacement has yet to be found so they are doing it the old fashion way.

One piece at a time. LOL! :)
