50 wins was really grindy to be sure and I hope PGI makes it bit shorter next time. I spent total of little more than 6 hours on it for completion--all on Skirmish mode. That said, I enjoyed most of the matches. They were fast paced, maneuvre heavy and all around rewarding.

Sure, there were negatives such as suicide rushing, and even killing oneself on spawn by overheating, but overall I got the feeling that the majority of the players actually gave a damn about winning. I have not seen commands and instructions thrown around and have them actually obeyed this much in PUGs since... ...never. Terra Therma used to be one of my worst map but after the challenge I got positive WLR on it! It was fun leading docile pugmates, and was fun being led by competent commanders. I got the distinct impression that win based challenge is much more fun than kill based challenges. Of course, I reported most of those intentional suiciders.

Plus the rewards were way more worth it than tourneys. Last tourney, I spent 9-10 hours trying to get into first 5 spot and failed. The 5th place reward was less than a mech bay worth of C-Bills.
In comparison, the challenge gave me a mech bay, 7 day premium and 6,500,000 C-Bills, which I really need for the Summoner and Direwhale purchase next month. All in 6 hours worth of play time.

Best of all, I was too jaded to level up my Ember, Firestarter-S, and recently bought Stalker-5M, but soon the 7 day premium made it a breeze. Those 3 mechs were what I used to complete the 50 win challenge and even though they were initially only at Basic skill level, I managed to finish Elite-ing the Ember and the 5M.

As you can see, my KDR sucked with the Firestarters, but I got more wins than losses so that's what mattered. Had to invest in both Arty and NARC to contribute to the team even if I do not play well. Still, that 2.6 WLR on the FS9-S really caught me off guard, considering its absolutely crap KDR and damage done. ;)

I enjoyed the challenge. Were you playing your lights in conquest a lot? It looks like you were winning on caps more than kills with them.

I really want to see more weekly challenges, they're really important for the game. It keeps it alive and breathing, gives people something to talk about, gives us a goal to focus on.

I hope we never see a challenge like this again though. If we do, I'm not participating.

I liked the prizes, the callenge? - no. It should've been something like "Get 50/75/100 points score in 10 games" per stage.

Yes i liked it. The goals were reasonably set. Did all of it in Conquest, started with different mechs that needed lvling but towards the end i put my big boy pants on and switches to Firestarters exclusively to be able to carry harder. Im happy.
Only problems were server desync.

Compared to challanges in War Thunder it was a cakewalk

Only went so far as to get the bay and premium time. I usually pilot either a DW or a Stalker or, occasionally, a Fatlas DDC. I decided to try some mobility and jumped into a random light (FSc) and ... holy crap! the fun. It may have ruined me. ;)

It's was ok. Very nice prices, but need some tweaking to suicide farmers.

I enjoyed the fact that making it win centric fixed a lot of bad teamplay.
I don't like the fact it's always the solo queue because you can't play with your friends which defeats 80% of the reason to play this game since there is nothing else worth playing for in here.

It made the game harder. That's not a bad thing, just a simple observation. People put on their war paints (Far fewer peacocks about), strikes were more frequent, and there were less toy builds.

Saw some commando's though! They look so fun, but so hard.

Maybe, "Win the Game... and survive" with a lower threshold of games.

I enjoyed the challenge. I did not see much of bad behavior.
I played the whole challenge in skirmish, mostly in the kitfox.
Had fun directing the pugs with ECM and UAV's, while dealing good damage overall.

Saturday and sunday were the "hard" days. Friday and monday were pretty easy by comparison.

I haven't finished yet, need to win 7 more games!

Overall I'm happy with it, the sales, the gameplay, the rewards, were all great. 50 wins is a LOT though, and playing it properly, with the matchmaker not helping, it feels like you're walking a fatlas through concrete. I think 5/15/30 or 8/20/40 would be a better win requirement.

Win based challenges seem to be better than kill based ones, although there's usually a few people bitching that they've been trolled by MM and lost last 10 games. I carried them to victory and they stopped.

I ended up driving my Jenners most of the weekend, despite having other mechs that need leveling. I've recently figured out how to do well in them, and am having fun with them.

Yeah, When I played on Monday it was much easier. Gotta remember the weekends as murderball, next time.

Nah, it was all Skirmish. Guess I drew the lucky lot. ;)

Yeah, this challenge really made me realize how hard it is to survive in a non-ECM Light if you do not usually pilot them.

There's enough cowardly play already.

I'd have liked group q included.

Or a points-based challenge where you only score in wins (or score triple in wins)

It was very enjoayable for me.

I suspect I had 50 wins to 30 losses at the finish and did most of it on friday.
Much more Teamplay in PUG than the weeks before thats for sure. Had only 2 suiciders in all my matches (one was Imperius :D) but it did not bother me in the least. New Players in Champion Atlas are a bigger burden on the Team imho.

Would do it Again

And two more Challange Weekends should follow ;). Im prettys excited towards it.

I love every challenge where you can win free mech bay, and here i got additional 7 days premium + 6.5 mil. CB. So yes, I like it ;). The only "bad" thing is that i started playing on sunday afternoon (was on vacation), so I had to play more than usual these last 2 days to get the 50 wins. But now I have 30 mil CB. Time to spend it on something :)

I enjoyed the first ten games, and everything after as pure grind. I didn't have the stomach or the time to grind out 50 games for a few C-Bills.

Suicide players were a real problem; these people are effectively handicapping their team for their own gain, and have told themselves that this kind of play is OK, since the loss of their mech isn't 'significant' ... except your team is now down one, and will be forced to attack and make up for the loss ... and the other team knows this.

The big issue for me was net code; part of the reason I couldn't stand the grind were the constant glitch issues. It felt like every fourth game or so had moonwalking, frame rate issues, or pure disconnects. It makes aiming extremely challenging when you can't see, and attempting to win games quite frustrating when your client locks, lags out, or plain crashes.

I know they'll run another challenge next weekend, and I appreciate that, but I do wish they'd fix the net code before asking us to endure more of the grind.

It was good fighting to WIN.
It was less good getting stuck with the usual mob of braindead bads.

I switched to an ECM commando so I could effectively herd my bads towards the enemy bads, making it a bit like a MOBA. Once we had the 20 wins for premium time, we retreated to the private lobbies and screwed around with trialmechs.
