No. You are getting the 24 hours of PT to make up for it.

You get a day of premium time if you log into the test server. So if you try to play on the one day they aren't available, you get that day back. If you weren't going to play that day anyway, you're not really losing a day of premium time.

Thanks for the clarification Heffay. If I would have read the whole post instead of skimmed it, they explain it at the bottom.

Hey Nikolai,

Any word on if they are going to infuse C-bills, MC and GXP like they did on the last public test?

Without it, it is going to be very hard to take advantage of this time to actually test anything. I only have about 950 MC and 37 million C-bills and maybe 1000 GXP right now. That will only buy me about 2 clan mechs which I will have to grind XP for to even unlock basics, let alone test mastery.

Anyway, if you don't know, I hope you can at least pass the word on that it would be really nice if PGI did this for us.

Thanks.

Will you be putting a pause on any premium time that is counting down?

Not if you got the seven days from the last challenge. That started all banked premium time as soon as you got it.

No. You will get 24-hours of PT to reimburse the time that ticks down during the maintenance.

It did not start the banked premium time for me. I still have 90 days that I can activate and the current remaining time is the time I got from the challenge minus the time of that free gift already spend.

Good to see you guys at PGI still don't understand the world time clock, two years later.

10am Pacific time still means on Friday evening there will be European players, many of whom have spent money on this game, who won't be able to log in. And that's only if you're transfer goes perfect. Maybe wake up early for once and start your transfer at 5 or 6am PST, to make sure you don't leave paying European customers blacked out of the game during prime time.

Given the history of extended patches/maintenance, the fact that you don't bother to account for how you might potentially be locking out a not insignificant portion of your player base on a Friday night is a bit frightening from a customer service perspective. It means you're frightfully unaware, or that you know you'll probably be hosing paying customers and you simply don't care.

We help pay your generous salaries, so for once try waking up early to do actions that might take longer than normal. Or is that against the labor laws in Vancouver?

Dude, they have to do their work when they have people available to do it. Given it's a 24 hour period, someone's going to get hit with the prime time night stick.

Beyond that, there's significantly fewer players outside of NA, so they need to deal with a time when that doesn't impact them as much.

Either way, the world doesn't revolve around EU players. In this case, it revolves around the company that's doing the work, that happens to be in NA.

It won't be banked. Players with PT running will get a day added on (Likely redeemed when they log in).

It doesn't start all banked time, just time you just earned.

I have seen lots of questions about if we will lose Premium time And lots of answers But NO OFFICIAL answer from PGI or IGP It would be nice if they answers that question here. If you are not PGI or IGP do not reply to this message.

Yup Finally saw it at the bottom of the initial post.

It is in the announcement post itself. You can save time if like and read the last paragraph, quoted below for your convenience.

"We recognize that this is an unusually long maintenance window. As such, we will also be providing all players with active premium time during the maintenance/test an additional 24 hours on their live account after the maintenance has completed."

How much more official do you need it to be?

Haha. The first thing I thought after crying about no mech for a day was the premium time loss after everyone worked hard to earn it from the challenge. Then I finished reading the article and saw the 24 hour bonus included to those with active premium.

Kudos PGI/IGP, well played.

Interesting. I saw numerous reports of it starting banked time, which means the sources were full of crap and just trying to get something out of it (as usual, lol)

I was just about to be cranky after winning premium time in the last challenge, but you already had that taken care of. Classy to add 24 hours to everyone with active time - kudos!

It's a global game. It's going to block someone out somewhere and unfortunately for you it would seem this is the best time for them. I'm sure it's not intentional.

Let's hope their new datacenter location was picked for better selection of access lines which would mean better bandwidth / reliability for player connections.

Friday / Saturday are dead days anyways for my unit because people like.... go out an do stuff on those days....
