Hi i'm looking for a unit that is UK based ideally as unfortunately all the units that i have tried thus far are state side and time zones aren't working in my favour. But thank you to all that replied to my previous advert.

I'd like to be able to team up with fellow brits mid evening usually between 8pm and 10pm.

Casual is preferable as cannot always use voice coms (annoys the wife, she has the hearing of a bat  ) but able to be competitive if timing is ok.

I use teamspeak too.

Name: Madkat

Callsign: MadKat
Timezone: GMT
House/Faction: Merc unit
Playstyle: aggressive close range or long range direct fire (dislike LRMS)
Roletype: Brawler/Striker
Preferred Weight: Medium
Experience: over 2540 games to date member since closed beta july 2012

*edit* i only have is mechs in my hanger, 30 of them presently.

Unit found....Thanks to all who replied, and to The Brotherhood of steel who welcomed me in last night.

Invasion mode has renewed my interest in this game, although pug drops have been pretty rough. I am looking for a team environment with skilled players who expiriment with different strategies and executions.

Callsign: Prepaid Lenin
Timezone: Eastern Standard Time, mostly evenings.
House/Faction: Inner Sphere, No house preference.
Playstyle: Team Oriented.
Preferred Weight: All.
Experience: I was in the very first wave of invites to the closed beta when it went live, I have played on and off since that time. I played Tribes Ascend competitively as a flag capper for 2 years. Battletech is also my favourite IP.

I will likely come bundled with another player, Ekrje, who is an old teammate of mine.

Ladies and gents, thank you, but I have a half dozen offers in my email box now. I'll likely be dropping with one of them. Thanks.

Callsign: Stratagos, or Strat for short when the crap is flying. Or “GET OUT OF WAY U EFFING N00B” if I can’t magically read your mind when you’re on Teamspeak and I am not

Timezone: EST

Faction: Like your mom, I'm not particular. Unlike your mom, there’s a limit to the amount of roleplay I’m interested in. When you get into the guts of the lore, all the factions suck for one reason or another. I have a general preference for IS, but I'm digging my Lokis right now too.

Playstyle / Roletype: I'm not sure what these questions are supposed to represent, so I will answer in detail below

Preferred Weight: Heavy & Light. While I have mastered Assaults and Mediums, that doesn't mean I'm any *good* at them

Experience: Been with MWO since beta, but almost exclusively living the Pug life. Have played pretty much anything with giant stompy robots on the PC since Cresent Hawks Inception

So, first, my limitations: Because of commitments to work and family, my drops are few and usually in the evening, even on weekends. Anything remotely like a scheduled window just isn't feasible for me.

I have Teamspeak and a mike, what I don't generally have is the opportunity to use it. My son is going to want to know who I'm talking to while I'm gaming, and that's distracting enough when I'm just muttering to myself about that IDIOT who just shot the Direwhale at 50 meters with a pair of non-ER PPCs and a chunk of LRMs. You're NOT IN RANGE, MORON.

So I'll generally be listening, not talking. At least in the short term, we'll see what the future holds.

What do I enjoy in a game? Puncturing hubris. Think you're invulnerable clustered around that DDC? Hey, nice to meet you - my name is Stratagos, and this is my friend TAG. Rage against people who dare base cap in Assault mode when the rest of the team is dead or dying? Ahh, your sweet salty tears are a perfect nightcap. Sit up on that ridge with Guasszilla? Say, did you know LRMs can be deadfired at people that don't move? Let me show you how.

Having said that, living the Pug life is very hit and miss. Tagging or Narcing the enemy ECM platform and watching the allied LRMs chase the Jenner who is behind a ridge is... frustrating. Especially with CW, the difference between a coordinated team and the usual gaggle of geese is... profound. And so far I'm digging Invasion mode.

What am I looking for in a unit? As you may have gathered, I'm not exactly Mr. Spit and Polish. I have to be professional at the office; I'm here to unwind.

I prefer being able to (good naturedly) razz my teammates and enemies, and have them cheerfully return fire. If that's something that wouldn't fit into your unit's culture, I'm unlikely to be a good fit. Sorry.

Having said that, if you're one of what I'll call the Gamersgaters as a general catch all, I'm also not going be a fit. There is a significant difference between friendly insults and being an abusive douchebag. If you don't know that line, I'm not going to want to drop with you.

Am I good?

That's a really hard question to answer. My K/D is nothing to write home about, because I generally don't care about it. I have been running around with my ECM Spider recently plinking people due to queue volumes, and that does more to disorder the enemy than to score kills. I like to *think* I don't suck - I have marginally more wins than losses - but I'm sure that idiot who just alphaed with a stock Nova while sitting in the lava on Mordor thinks the same thing.

Can I be a team player?

Probably? I mean, I wouldn't be here if I wasn't interested in giving it a shot. I enjoy victory and skillful opponents, and don't necessarily mind being ablative armor for a push if there is something like coordination going on, but that jackass who is sitting in the rear urging everyone *else* over the ridge can bite me. Your LRM5 can walk into fire with the rest of us, Mr. Atlas.

Name: Bushrat

Timezone:EU and Eastern US/Canada
House/Faction: GB currently but willing to switch for right unit.
Playstyle: Brawler/Skirmisher
Preferred Weight: Assault, Heavy, Medium
Experience: Intense at times since Open Beta with 9 months off.. now coming back
Favorite Mechs: Clan: StormCrow, Timberwolf, IS: too many to name-- I like brawling and Light hunting/killing

What I am looking for in a unit:
  • Fair leadership--not run by one megalomaniac on a power trip
  • Fair treatment of players, rudeness and insults are not common in your unit... fun jokes and humour are ok ofc as long as they don't get out of hand.
  • NO DRAMMA
  • Practice and training are taking place regularly-- ( I am a bit rusty and could use some practice)
  • Not too serious, to too casual. I would like to compete, but also am not totally hardcore.
  • Fairly large-- I would like to play with a unit that is established and has active players on most times of the EU and NA playing times.
  • Also...a unit that keeps the immature and ignorant players out of their group.. if you accept anyone who joins regardless of their behavior, you are probably not the right unit for me.
Thanks for looking.

Playstyle: Various, I try a little bit of everything
Preferred Weight: Medium / Heavy
Experience: Signed up for original BETA, took a long break - now back enjoying casual play
Favorite Mechs: Shadow Hawk, Vindicator, JM6

What I am looking for in a unit:
  • An active group of players that routinely team up to play PUGs, I'm not interested in CW in it's current state.
  • A group that does not force min/max, I want to run a variety of builds and enjoy the game - I'm not here to be 'competitive'
  • If any clan also plays MekWars, that's a bonus - I still enjoy the tabletop stuff a lot, but the servers seem to be dying :(
That's it, simple

Timezone: GMT+0
House/Faction: Davion (Primary)/ComStar/Clan Wolf
Playstyle: All teamwork, all the time
Roletype: Strategic Command, Tactical Command, Recce, Signals, Fire Support
Preferred Weight: Depends on role. Seldom Assault.
Experience: On-and-off MWO player since 2012. Former highly ranked (once #1) MW3 MechReg ladder player. Rode with the Devilspawn (highest rated MechReg unit) and later commanded an active Davion unit (HoD) of battalion size (30+ MechWarriors). Experience as a lance lead in MWO. Looking for a group with no activity requirements, no faux military cargo cult ranking system, and (I can't believe I have to add this) no real-world religion please.

MWO Community,

I want to send a personal thank you to everyone who sent to me a message with a possible home. As of now I have 9 offers, and with my Saturday evening approaching, my time spent studying is done for the day, and I am now going to start looking each message over and checking out the groups who showed interest. I will more then likely end up joining one of the nine. However if things do not work out I will update this topic in a few weeks. Thank you to all, and I look forward to meeting each and everyone of you on the battlefield.

Sincerely,

Karaglen

House Kurita (pref.), completely flexible

Playstyle:

Patient, TACTICS oriented and preferred

Roletype:

1) Medium/Heavy Assault Support;
2) Scout/Sniper;
3) Heavy Missile Support;

Preferred Weight:

1) Medium;
2) Heavy;
3) Light

Experience:

On-and-Off player of Mechwarrior Online since 2012. I am a former longtime member/officer of the now extinct: 312th Black Trident Regiment / The House of Solveinean / War Driven Mercenaries.

I am looking to get back into MWO on a weekend only basis, my reasons for this is because I am a double engineering college student, and entering the second semester of my junior year. Classes are going to be a complete pain in my ass this semester, so if any group is willing to take me on, they must understand that any time spent will be random, however the officership will be given the courtesy of of weekly check-in's, as well as status updates on play times.

What I am looking for:

I am looking for a group that offers scheduled weekend training time. Communications and Tactics are a MUST. While I will be focusing 95% of my time on my studies, time put into training will be 100% when I am on and without complaint, any mistakes will be rectified quickly.

Timezone: Central US
House/Faction: Inner Sphere
Playstyle: See it, report it, harry it, kill it.
Roletype: Scout/Skirmish
Preferred Weight: Light/Medium
Experience: Played just about every iteration of mechwarrior/battletech. Specialize in light/medium mechs. Have Mastery level of every light mech, as well as Trebuchet/Catapult/Dragon.

So I posted an advertisement last week and its apparent I need to be more specific in what I am looking for. I do pilot clan mechs but I don't have any real interest in playing in a Clan-based unit. While I have an interest in Community Warfare, its not a strict requirement *****. I'm just tired of going solo. If your requirements for your group require me to sign or agree to a form saying "I will adhere to blah-blah-blah..", I will kindly pass.

I'm here to play a video game with cool people, have a good time, and make some friends. The motto is: "Win by any means necessary." All that "honor, duty, loyalty" nonsense can sit by the way-side.

Callsign: Crispy Chicken

Timezone: GMT, but I play usually past midnight local time, so american time zones suit my playtimes too

House/Faction: Steiner currently (for 13 more days)

Playstyle: Beginner :)

Roletype: not sure yet

Preffered Weight: not sure yet

Experience: random games, for long enough to buy me a Shadowhawk (so not really much)

On the plus side I guess I did not have much time to pick up bad habbits yet :)
In the time I am playing now one thing got clear to me though: to enjoy this game you have to play with others in a lance, prefferaby with TS.

So what I am looking for is ideally a more relaxed clan/guild with a TS3 server where I can learn a few things and group up with others often. I spoeak german and english. I usually play several hours a day, and that most days. So a group on the more organised side could work too, but I most deffinitely do not want a highly organised military style top notch thing where I have people depending on me showing up. Don't get me wrong, I am reliable, but I do not want ot be forced to play when I am not in the mood for it. So nothing with fixed Lances or fixed play times please. Although I aim to become a better player, fun and enjoying the game comes first for me. If you are interested - or have questions - just give me a holler, hope to hear from you soon :)

Timezone: EDT
House/Faction: No preference, though I don't have enough clan mechs to CW clan yet.
Style: Electronic Warfare
Role: Escort or Scout
Preferred Weightclasses: Light/Assault
Experience: I didn't get started until MW4, but while there I spent several years doing MWL. I've also dabbled in Megamek. I've played MWO on and off for about a year now.

I'm looking for a team to gain some new friends in the game community. My available time commitment is rather small, especially outside of the winter months, so I'm looking for a unit that's more laid back and community based, rather than a hardcore, tight-knit team.

I bring to the table decent aim, an eye for innovation, and a good grasp of battlefield strategy.
