Name: Justgreen

Callsign: Justgreen
Timezone: Eastern time
House/Faction: None yet
Playstyle: I don't play for fun, I play to win
Roletype: Scout/Sniper
Preferred Weight: Light/Heavy
Experience: -->Noob ; but not for long

I'm new to the game but I have 10 years of experience in online gaming ... (I don't intend to remain noob for long)

So basically I'm sick of pugs and I could use a little coaching...
I honestly believe I can be a great asset to a team.

I'm not looking for a huge clan/guild/alliance, but a small group of dedicated players.
I'll be available for teamspeak as soon as I buy a new Mic (I sat on it ... again ... lol)

Anyways, send me a tell If interested ... I should be in my mech right after work

Thx for the replies, I found a home

Name: Ben Nason

Callsign: Excelsias
Timezone: US (CST - Minneapolis)
House/Faction: Any
Playstyle: Looking for a competitive group - longtime gamer, like to win, like to play with likeminded / organized ppl
Roletype: Any - not the best sniper, however - prefer more mobility and reacting to situations
Preferred Weight: Any - although I've spent most of my time in Dragons (all to Master, about 1/2 way to Elite on all variants. 1n is my fav - 4 ML and 1 AC10 with 90kmh and 320 armor = FTW). Also open to working on other weights, although I don't enjoy assaults. Been messing with Commandos at the moment, and have a Wen-Lo pretty decked out and may invest in some Cent variants .

Experience:
I'm an old grognard kinda' guy with roots back to all kinds of MMO and FPS games (I'm old enough to even remember the old FASA / Battletech center in Chicago). I've been enjoying MWO, but looking for more organized play - I can't shake the feeling that no matter how well I play, PUGs are a crapshoot that put me perpetually against the odds. I'm looking for a group to play with that meets the following:
  • Mature (21+)
  • Fun
  • Organized (Vent, TS, Forums, *plans*, etc.)
  • Skilled
  • Not too serious (I'm not looking to enlist in some kind of RP military outfit; I don't mind some panache, but I'm an old dude with a kid, wife, job, etc. This is a game, I don't need to play pretend at this point.)
  • US TZ - I'm currently gaming about 20 hours a week - about 10 of this in MWO at this point (2-3 hours ever other day, when I can jam it in between work & RL). Aiming to up MWO to 15 hours.

What I offer - good attitude (for an example of what I do for fun - check out http://8bitquixote.com/). Competent player. Willing to invest in mechs/XP where needed (currently playing almost exclusively all Dragon variants, aiming to get them fully spec'd out, but can switch up NP). Can communicate however you do (Vent/TS/Mumble, etc.)

Cheers all - please let me know if you're recruiting. Not looking to commit at this point, but try out a few different groups over the next week or two to see how I fit in.

Callsign: Gomos
Timezone: UTC-5:00
House/Faction: Merc or Periphery, ideally, but i'm looking for people more then an allegiance.
Playstyle: Communication and Teamwork.
Roletype: Direct-Fire support, Scout
Preferred Weight: Light/Medium
Experience: MW2,3,4, PnP. References on request. I'm kidding. I have none.

-Big into the whole battletech thing for years.
-On for about 2-4 hours a night regardless.
-Chewbacca impersonation has paid my rent.
-Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to cuss like a sailor.
-I tell good stories.

I'm looking for a group of people who communicate well enough to plan out their strategies before hand. I'd love to have some organized practice or training, but my job prevents me from committing heavily or in any kind of rigid structure.

#swag and #yolo need not reply, thanks.

Hey all. Sicne things are settled down a bit, and now that MWO has become a bit more tactical with the intro of ECM,I'm looking to join a group.

Callsign in game is Torgian
Playstyle: I enjoy heavy mechs, namely the Cataphract for the time being, although I occasionally play the Atlas and have recently been toting around in a Raven with my ECM and BAP. I tend to enjoy taking a command role, although I'm quite fond of just coordinating and leading a lance or duo. I also normally take a mix of weapons.

Timezone: Mountain time. Colorado FTW. :)

I have plenty of experience in games such as these, and have been a battletech fan all my life.

As for faction, I am unsure at this moment. For the time being I'm just as happy going into a mercenary group, although once House play starts to come in I might consider it. If so, I'll probably go into the Rasalhauge... or however you spell that faction's name. lol.

I have C3, just gotta find my mic somewhere....

Preferred Weight: Heavy, Medium

Thanks for the offers. I am evaluating a unit now, and will be checking the others in order of contacting me.

Name: Demus Paskal
Callsign: Syncline
Timezone: UTC-05:00 Eastern Time
House/Faction: no preference
Playstyle: aggressive
Roletype: tactical situation dictates
Preferred Weight: medium > light > heavy > assault
Experience: All major BattleTech PC games from MW2 - current, limited tabletop gaming

Foreword: This is my "inverse application form." What I mean by this is I have absolutely no idea why so many clans/guilds/companies/Houses/etc want to know personal stuff about me (like if I'm married, or other things not directly related to MWO). As such, I'm not going to bother filling out any silly forms or endure any "probationary periods" or any of that crap. I'll tell you relevant information about myself now, and if I'm recruited, we'll get to know each-other better through playing games together, chatting on voice coms, etc. If this sounds abrasive or rebellious or whatever, so be it, but if you read on you may understand that I'm simply a pretty strong-willed guy who wants to enjoy a game, and not a complete jerk.

I'm 29 years old. I spent 8 years of that in the US Army as an M1A1 Abrams crewmember. I served in Iraq on two combat deployments for a total of two years. I'm graduating with a geology degree December 2012 and intend to work in scientific research or some relevant field.

That being said, I'm pretty mature. I'm pretty experienced working as a team. I'm pretty tactically proficient. I'm experienced using 60 ton machines in combat. I'm pretty experienced using voice communications to coordinate with other units. I play this game a lot. I'm pretty good at learning stuff. As such, I would make a fantastic addition to your active, competetive, yet casual clan/guild/company/House/etc. I'm sick of doing paperwork. I'm sick of filling out multiple-choice exams. I'm sick of getting raged at over Vent because I screwed up in an important battle. I'm sick of kissing the butts of those "above" me.

I want to improve my skills in this game. I want to play at a higher level than the average player. I want to compete in organized matches against other organized opponents. I want to enjoy the game for what it is - a game - with like-minded individuals. I want to join a unit that is active, cohesive, possesses esprit-de-corps, has strong leadership, and trains to improve both individual and team skills.

My K:D says nothing of my ability to work as a team; my win:loss says nothing of my willingness to sacrifice for the greater good. I tend to play defensively (staying with the heavies/assaults) until the enemy is decisively engaged, then switch to an extremely aggressive brawling playstyle to lend aid to the heavies/assaults, or to exploit and punish weakness or tactical error.

I own a growing stable of mechs with a wide array of loadouts. I primarily pilot a HBK-4SP, although I also enjoy my missile-spotter Raven, my ankle-biter Commando, my mid-range brawler Centurions, and my long-range skirmisher Dragon. I plan to unlock all masteries for all non-unique mechs in the game.

If I sound like someone you would want to fight with, let me know and I'll decide if you are an organization that I would want to fight with.

Edited for spelling and content.

Name: Myc (Mike)

Callsign: Myc
Timezone: US - EST
House/Faction: Lone Wolf
Playstyle: Whatever works for the map.
Roletype: Brawler or Scout
Preferred Weight: Light, or faster heavies.
Experience: MW1, MW3, MW4 (quite a bit), Mech Commander 1 and 2. In MWO since early July.

I have the Founders Jenner, plus the F and K jenners, fully maxed out and equipped. Use the D for Brawling with 4 meds and 2 streaks and an XL 300. I use the K for scouting with extended sensors, BAP, and TAG, as well as 2 meds and 1 ER Large, and an XL 300. Was thinking about selling the F Jenner. Working on Cataphracts now. I have the 4X with 4 AC5 and an XL 235. Just bought the Muromets and haven't had the chance to experiment much yet. Currently running 2 AC5 and 2 ER Large. Farming cash to get more options for the Muromets and my 3rd Cataphract.

I am currently in the Heavy Metal Brigade. I am definitely happy with the people in the group, I just don't get to play with them much. Most of my play time comes between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. Eastern time. There is generally 0 - 2 people from my clan on at that time. I also get on for short stints throughout the day, like 1-3 matches. My clan usually has a wait to get in a group during peak hours.

I am looking for a group that has enough people on during my play time (that speak english, as it is my only language) and/or one that I can jump strait into a match with. A more populated clan would be preferred, although I don't want to play with a group that has a low average skill level or one that takes things way too seriously. I am a laid back guy and I am in this to have fun.

Timezone: Pacific/Mountain (arizona doesn't use daylight savings)
House/Faction:
Playstyle: Anything I'm needed to do. I have mechs of all roles
Roletype: Scout, Long Range, Brawler, Support, Defense, etc
Preferred Weight: I usually play a light or heavy, But a fan of assault too
Experience: Been a battletech fan since the 80s. Used to tabletop, Played every mechwarrior game religiously (even mechassault. i know. blasphemy). Been playing this since July.

I'm looking for an outfit that wants to work together. I'm willing to adapt my playstyle to suit whatever role is needed. Yes I do have a raven with ecm. Next payday I'll have the Atlas too. I am on a lot, and willing to change my schedule to be on when needed.

And don't worry, I'm not a small child. I'm 30. Old man. lol

And just because I don't have many posts doesn't mean I don't read the forums. I actually read them daily. All the QQ is hilarious. I just don't feel the need to respond to most because my viewpoint is most often already stated by others. So I make liberal use of the like button

Thank you for the invites. I have made a choice in this matter and am contacting the relevant merc corps

Callsign: Edustaja
Timezone: GMT+2
House/Faction: N/A, free to join any,

Playstyle: Situational. Cautious by default, aggressive when required.

Roletype: Direct fire medium to long range striker/brawler as primary. Short range brawler/striker as secondary.

Preferred Weight: Medium to Heavy. Mastered Catapult, Hunchback and Cataphract. Can run lights and Assaults too.

Experience: Battletech and Mechwarrior on the tabletop. Single player MW2, MW4 and MekTek. MWO closed beta 1 month, open beta. EU-server teamspeak player mostly. Can take orders and run as a part of organised 4 or 8 man groups but skills need to be honed for the current 8-man game.

Preferred team: Competitive team with a good eye on tactics and a drive for team-play I can do the fun games at the global servers, but need a tighter team to run the more serious drops with. Would prefer it if we could mostly get 8 man team games going with minimal fuss between rounds. Would love a more structured analytical approach to team battles.

Timezone: Atlantic
House/Faction: House Davion
Playstyle: Scouting and quickly backing high risk opponents with srms (jenner), ac5 brawling (cataphract), and generally handy with a pulse laser.
Roletype: Typically Recon
Preferred Weight: Depends, but I'm at my best in my Jenner.
Experience: I've been playing since closed beta, know my way around a mech.

Note: I want a corps that's interested in using my skills properly (strategy), I'm not a blunt instrument which makes solo play a bit chaotic for me. I act with intention and purpose and betray my stats for the objective every time. If you don't communicate locations, moves, damage, enemy types, and discuss attack priorities I'm just not interested.
