Ping has been 239 since game started. After move to new data centre it is at 297. Still rubber-banding. Still geting stuck after exiting a match and have to crash to desktop...
It's just not good enough.

For the Aus/NZ based players that is a better thread to follow.
And one chaps trace shows exactly how routing should be done by ISP's

add suddenlink to that list
it's amazing how all these different ISPs are having the exact same issue with the exact same game and that game only...

lol really? you´re telling me in Berlin/ Germany i have actually gained about 20-30 better pings (well at least after they went up the same ammount a while ago) unlike some parts of the US? i´m sorry, not making fun about you, i just think it´s ...weird... Michigan is close to Canada, right? (well, compared to Germany that is )

Except for that whole first city in the US on gigabit Google fiber thing.

Which is nowhere near me.
Oh, and a lot of rural areas farther north have fiber, too. It requires some pretty impressive federal grant money, and that comes with some odd limitations on how good the basic services offered can be based on percentage of customers that have access to those services.
For example, let's say a basic tier is 6Mbps down/1Mbps up. Seems quite slow for what fiber can do, right? Yes, it is, but when you have a bunch of customers that don't have access to fiber and only have copper DSL, the grants get kind of picky. Still, it's nice having an ISP that actually was aggressive in going after those grants to get the ball rolling.
Of course, now I'm in a different town with cable; faster, yes, but not quite as reliable.

I bet you take a lot less damage on fast mechs I would take 150ping over 50 anyday for this game.
you won´t, believe me... low pings are a horror to hit sometimes as someone with 150ms... the desync goes both ways...

Im on iiNet in Wagga Wagga and my ping is still ~255. If anything, pingwise it's marginally more stable (fluctuating less), but I am getting a lot more desyncing with mechs running in place so i have to disconnect and reconnect:/
From that im gathering that the Desyncing issue is on PGI's end, but the ping issue that people are reporting is likely the clients ISP.
If people with the issue are able, could they try playing the game on an iiNet connection. Most wouldn't be able to, but maybe a couple can. Ive seen it mentioned once or twice over the threads that iiNet doesn't seem to be affected by the ping jumping.

For another game i used to play, razor game booster seemed sort out ping spiking, so i started running MWO through that a couple of days ago and that seems to have resolved the issue with my ping settling at 270-320, which is normal for where i live.
Any chance you could tell us whihc ISP it is ??? =D
