PGI.. please disable Rejoin function till you get the desync issue resolved.

u crazy ?...its one thing they did good lately. i have rejoined a lot of times with no issues...

Yea exactly ... me too

Best feature ever release.... i use it 2 times per game sometimes, only because of memory allocation errors >> TY CRYTEK.

Game isnt more or less laggy obviously for me.

unless this is the actual cause of the lag an desyncs I say leave it.

though I'm still all for after X amount of time, discos just die.

Desync started after Rejoin was implemented. Rejoin is a nice feature but if it's causing desync....no thanks. I'm suggesting disabling Rejoin to see if desync is related. If desync goes away.. look at Rejoin code to find what is causing desync. If desync does not go away.. you've eliminated one possibility.

You guys have no idea if that's causing desync or not.

So there's really no logical reason here to disable a feature that actually works. If that's your version of troubleshooting lines and lines of code, stick to your day job.

On the flip-side - I record almost every drop - since the rejoin patch my damage has dropped ~30% across the board and a significant number of my drops have been desyncs. I never got desyncs before that, and, well, my hitreg was ~30% better.

Nooo. If someone DCs cause of a de-sync (or anything else) they need to be able to rejoin.

No, deleting something that doesn't work so they dont have to deal with fixing it isn't the answer. Look at collisons and knockbacks for example, did you like that the idea got scrapped couse they coulden't fix it?

When they released that patch, they didn't only add a rejoin feature. Patches come with multiple code changes. I hardly think it is likely that the rejoin code itself is solely responsible for the desync issues, but rather something else that was patched in when it was also introduced.

I've actually never used it. The rare times I DC, I've forgotten about it. It is curious, however, that a lot of the desynch issues started after the feature was implemented. No idea if that's the cause or not, but whatever they need to do to fix the desynch...

I've experienced fewer desyncs since the latest patch... and even on those maps, there isn't a disconnected player who is attempting to log back into the match. I doubt this feature is the cause behind server/player desyncing.

No. Go check out my twitch, in my primary lights [sdr-5d, jenner f, and ember] I average 700+ damage a drop which is verifiable with screenshots, recordings, etc., I document every drop's results in a spreadsheet, divided per mech. Since the rejoin patch damage has been on a (steep) decline. I can shoot people and watch the lasers overpenetrate or spark on the armor but no red cursor. I can play back a mach recording and count the hits from AC's, etc. I pumped 27 ac5 rounds into a victor, counted them back on video, and registered 108 damage. 108. A hundred. And eight. I also don't really need to farm, all hundred and something (125? 130 ish?) mechs are already mastered and I'm not hurting for cbills.

The de-sync issues started with the rejoin-patch and hit-reg got worse as well for me.

I've been recording my drops since I started playing, I like having source footage to edit into (terrible) cinematics. I'm not stupid, I just hate farmers and don't like being compared to one. I keep performance metrics because, to me, it's part of the fun. Everyone has their own kind of fun - some post in threads on forums, some keep game performance metrics. I like seeing how the metrics change from patch to patch.

Strange i notice almost every match someone else, in mean not me ( i use it all match i assure you ), who use this feature with success...


Well anyway big desync appears with this patch and some little desync were there already...

You can see this patch was pretty big specialy about streaks, lrms and clan lrms... and others things not only rejoin feature.

New collision rules and dealing damage rules may be desync's cause... more than a rejoin feature used only one or two time per match or zero time like you said ( crap ).

Lets devs and peoples, who now how netcode work find desync's causes ....
They dont know how play this game like us, i guess gamers like us dont know how build a game like them.... :)
