Trolls be trolling. Mycrus, why don't you take your straw man arguments and ad hominem attacks and crawl back under you little bridge. Neither you nor anything you said has any bearing on this or the truth.

Mycrus, enough already, please.

This is not what I had in mind as a way to advertise the HPL and the community to the rest of MWO.

Just to fill in some factual background, in case it's helpful...

I was called at the last moment on Friday and asked if could help out my team in the 4v4, due to one our designated players having to deal with a family emergency. I expressed misgivings about having not participated in any training for the event, and also, that I was being asked to fill the Light slot - my least effective weight class.

But I agreed, because throughout my life I've felt a part of good sportsmanship is to show up for matches no matter what, for the sake not only of my team, but also for the opposition. (Matches which get cancelled are disappointments for both teams, in my view.).

At the time I participated, I was unaware there was a defined roster, that I wasn't on it, that this was in contravention of the rules etc. I'd have said something to our opponents myself, if I'd realised there was an issue. For what it's worth, I have been a member of the 256th since the day it was formed.

The match on the day was friendly and enjoyable. I congratulated the ARMD team on their 2-1 win in a spirit of good sportsmanship, and their players reciprocated in similar good spirit.

I regret to find that my participation inadvertently contravened the rules of the tournament. I've advised my team's captain that I won't participate further.

I appreciate Paragon's efforts to bring together players from across the region, united by our mutual burden of high ping. It was an interesting opportunity to play on a level battlefield for once.

I would much prefer now if everyone could be good friends and comrades going forward. I wish all teams every success on the battlefield, and I leave you with a couple of proto-memes for your further entertainment :)

:)I'm sure it will all work out in the end.

256th Bear Cav should use these in their fights. Nothing like a Hover Bear for a silky smooth bump free ride.

So it is true!!!

But really I was looking up this to voice my opinion of what is happening here.

True, may be the case, but pushing such an insignificant point when 2 other groups have encountered the exact same situation, but managed to just roll with it without causing a fuss seems odd that's all.Guess some people think the rules are more important the game/fun which is fair enough if that's the way you like to roll. My concern is how this is going to impact the teams who encountered the same issue and didnt have a problem with it, yet the ruling with this dispute will undoubtedly affect them.

It's in the hands of the grand tribunal no, which all parties of agreed to abide by so lets see what comes of that.

As an offside, do other people have a horrible time with mwomercs lately? I cannot get the pages to load properly Grrr, badd css and images not loading.

Edit: missed a bit damn website.

I would suggest using a browser other than IE

@ p4r4g0n ... per PM between live1991 and myself, Group 3, Round 3 (OMC vs 228th) is currently scheduled for 9:30 AEST (1130 UCT).

We are still working out a couple of details ... once those negotiations are complete, I will include you on the PM chain.

@Tekadept - A workaround for the MWO website and forums is to put https:// onto the front of the address. Works fine for me.

Champion thanks.

I have redacted all of my posts now to maintain the integrity of the competition. My posts are still my opinion and would have been made regardless of whom was involved. Look forward to a seamless season 2 once 1 is finished.

In case anyone is confused, I've deleted my posts from this thread in support of Paragon's good intentions for this tournament.

I did leave one post in which I factually stated the circumstances of my participation, and contributed a couple of proto-memes for your viewing pleasure.

Best wishes on the battlefield, to all teams and future participants.

G'day High Pingers'!

I left my stream overlay up for game 2 of our 228th vs 13th Legion match. Sorry about that. Otherwise, I hope you enjoy the commentary and tournament showcase. Thanks for letting me stream! Jay Z
