Jumpjets create almost no verticle thrust at all at this point! The nerf went waaaaaay too far and im tired of it. Also arent these mechs made out of some futuristic alloy that we couldnt make in our time or some ****? Why do i recieve damage from falling basically 3m , while holding down the JJ button ?? Give me a break, these aren't hard to see in everyday gameplay.

Fall damage (along with Ghost Heat) is one of the most idiotic thing PGI have added to the game.

I love my Jump Jet mechs and hardly ever take fall damage from it while running, jumping and moving around.
I have a Highlander that can jump on buildings, no problems there.
You just want it easy so one JJ makes you fly around like a butterfly and so you can still sting like a bee. Well finally you have some compromises to make. Do you really want to jump in that mech, fill up the JJ and if you're jumping how high, so yo leave some fuel for the return.
Jump Jets are finally great. Harden up & live with it.

We have 3.2x earth's gravity on all maps because PGI felt that falls were "too slow".
Among other things, a poptart would take a lot longer to start falling, leaving it in the air for about 1 to 3 seconds before it really starts to fall... giving us all the time in the world to kill them.
Apparently we can't have that as we'd have some way to counter poptarts. So we get damage on super tiny falls.
