Ah, those Battletech universe novels of old. They were like my own version of Robot ****, "50 shades of robot paint" ... How many plan to dig those out again before playing this awesome game?

Yeah. I wish they'd get back to re-releasing them for Nook and Kindle. They took them down 8-9 months ago and haven't returned them. My paper books are all wrinkly from moisture damage and annoying to read.

The Mechwarrior and Battletech Books are some of the best things out there. My personal favorites are Roar of Honor and By Blood Betrayed.

I really liked the Gray Death Legion trilogy, it starts with Decision at Thunder Rift.

It's been so long since I've read them... but I really like the precursors to the invasion...and then the actual invasion. Back when it was only 1 series of books. I'm old, I know.

Hahahah. Most of the ppl responding here have Legendary tags.... "you know you're a fanboi when..."

My recommendations would be “The Warrior” trilogy and the “Blood of Kerensky” trilogy. Both series are written by Michael A. Stackpole. I was (still am I guess) a fan of the characters Justin Xiang Allard and his son Kai Allard-Liao.

Also while I do not hate the Dark Age series of BattleTech books, I do not remember enjoying any of them.

I would be reading them if I didn't have this Network+ exam I am studying for in August.

I actually picked up the series because of Michael A. Stackpole. This was right after I had read the x-wing series books he wrote... I then went backwards and forwards with them

I'm up to The Legend of the Jade Phoenix Trilogy now. I'm onto the second book but I'm not enjoying them as much as I did Blood of Kerensky Trilogy Stackpole is way better than Thurston IMO.
