2v2 sounds fun, but I bet we will see a lot of Timberwolves with a weight limit of 150 tons.

145 or 140 tons would probably bring a more diverse showing.

How are the matches going to be scheduled? Are all of the teams just going to play back to back until only one remains? Or will teams have to schedule times to face each other?

In my experience, coordinating such things is difficult.

And also - $105 worth if prizes? Are you like, rich? Its the thought that counts, I'm sure you don't have to spend so much.

Way too cool Justice Legion! I'm signed up and I'm gonna grab one of my buddies too. This will be epic! :D

Just to clarify, it's no restriction on IS or Clan, correct?

We debated the weight and figured based on our ability to take down 2 TBR's with IS mechs we went with 150. Pilot skills will matter and again best mech/best buddy. If 2 TBR's run through the tourney then the next tourney we'd adjust the weight :)

As for cash prizes I'm pretty good at funding things through groups of people. Everyone has their talents!

Scheduling: If you can't fight your match Monday contact me and you can be setup with another team that needs a Tuesday or Wednesday slot as well. I'm flexible and always available.

Thanks! No restrictions on mechs!

Should create a chassi limitation of (1), so only 1 per mech chassis.

With that being said; were you guys the same JL from MWL in MW4 zonematch? I actually remember joining JL randomly when I was playing MW4 and just going through my 14 year old "join random teams phase"

Nope not the same guys sorry! :)

We are big fans of "Bring what you have and put it on the line" so we'll see how this shapes up and go from there. But everyone knows a good Direwolf or even Banshee can smoke a Timberwolf faster than he can put them down. Your medium pilot just has to be on point and helping you out. All a roll of the dice on loadouts, maps, and skill. Good luck!

maps going to be random? I strongly feel a pre-posted map list would be better to truly prove who the better players are, vs. a team winning because they had the random, proper loadout for a map.

That is a great idea. Something I hadn't thought of (posting a list) but I did intend on picking the maps before hand. But posting a list of the maps will make it less "chance" I think.

I also have questions about the scheduling. It isn't planned to try and do it all in one day, is it?

I wonder if it would be possible to do our first match on Tuesday, we could do our 2nd on Tuesday as well. (Hypothetically)

My teammate is available basically every day except Monday.

64 teams -> reduced to 32 -> 16 -> 8 -> 4 -> 2 -> 1

I imagine it would take awhile to play so many matches, even with single elimination.

There are 7 rounds listed, so I'll assume first to 4.

I really want to bring Wub...but I know I shouldn't.

That's a typo. First to 4, best of 7.
