It's a canon mech loadout iirc, you get what the lore says.
A more realistic MC cost wouldn't hurt (instead of flat rate per ton)
oh i understand that, it was more meant as a line upf or the cost question.
if they are going to charge the same levels for a hero with no upgrades than thats pretty F'd up or at least in those cases they should throw a bonus in like free mechbay with it to offset the added cost without ugprades
or just screw the lore and give it at least DHS

Well, considering it's literally a BJ-3 with lower arms with crazy articulation and the benefits of the Griffin design (crazy torso twist+nice engine cap)... it would put the Vindicator to shame.

i am real fan of the Griffin 3M. Actually we used them competition games like RHOD, because it is a very nice mech.
I have on my griffin 3M more than 800k xp, because i just love playing it...
I was wondering if there will ever be a griffin hero mech. And now here it is.
I was so looking foreward to this day!!!!
I look at the hardpoints, and i just asked WTF?
What skilled player would ever use that mech?
I just can say i am very disappointed... but i guess that´s because i was hoping for my most loved mech to get nice hero.
U couldn´t fail more...
I am sad now and will log off... hoping this is just a bad dream.....

Can't believe they went all energy. No Missile, No Ballistic.
Bummer.
BJ-3 is a good comparison.

Then I built this: SPARKY
Could also swap the lplas out for regular llas and go up to XL360 without dropping any heat sinks or the mediums -- SPARKY
Almost makes me want to buy my Griffins back to grind them out. Almost.
Might make a decent zombie mech with a standard engine. I literally don't see enough griffins to know if they get killed through CT before their sides go out or not though.

Why? Faster laserboats are pretty useful. Could have been a poptart with the high mounted Torso mounts, or a good light hunter with a 360XL in it, or a fun Wub boat with 6 MPLs.
Then again, most competitive players thought he Griffins were going to be junk in the first place.
Edit:
This looks scary: SPARKY

Most "competitive" players care only for how quickly their mechs can core out an enemy CT in a zerg rush.
Or how good of a poptart it can be.

That's pretty rich for an MC-only Mech
